  2. 2
Basic Combo (Y, Y...) can lead into:
  3. 3
    Hishousouzan (f, f + Y): This can further lead into Embukyaku (X), Energy Burst (X), Kikou Sho (f + X), Razor Sliding Tackle (X + A), or Slice and Dice (X + A).
  4. 4
    Chou Reppa Dan (f, f + Y): This can lead into Energy Burst (X, wall), Spirit Knife (f + X), Embukyaku (X), or Kikou Shou (f + X, wall/armored enemy).
  5. 5
    Forward Movement Attacks:
  6. 6
Ring of Fire (X + A): A dash attack that deals with enemies in a straight line.
  7. 7
Tumbling (X + A): An area of effect (AOE) attack that stays for a while, and enemies can be thrown into it.
  8. 8
Grab Attacks (f - towards enemy):
  9. 9
    Ground Slam (Y): Can lead into Tumbling (X + A) or Ring of Fire (X + A).
  10. 10
    Knee (f + Y): Can be repeated (f + Y, f + Y) and then lead into Elbow Smash (f + Y), followed by Tumbling (X + A) or Ring of Fire (X + A).
  11. 11
    Wheel Throw (b + Y).
  12. 12
Vault (B): Leads into Suplex (Y), which can then lead into Tumbling (X + A) or Ring of Fire (X + A).
  13. 13
    Other Special Moves:
  14. 14
    Embukyaku (X): Can lead into Tumbling (X + A) or Ring of Fire (X + A).

  16. 16
    Kikou Shou (f + X): Can lead into Tumbling (X + A) or Ring of Fire (X + A).
  17. 17

  18. 18
    SOR3 Blaze Specifics:
  19. 19
Special Abilities: Double attack with knife.
  20. 20
Character Type: Balanced, with solid weapon, Combo Chain, anti-shield and anti-air abilities.
  21. 21
    Strongest Techniques:
  22. 22
Hishousouzan: Has the most invincibility frames (I-frames), making it the safest Blitz to use against enemies like the Vial Queen and Shadow, and still good on Riot Cops’ shields.
  23. 23
Chou Reppa Dan: Another great Blitz, possibly more useful than Hishousouzan.
  24. 24
Basic Combo to Hishousouzan to Special (to Star Move): Use on bosses.
  25. 25
Grab Knees to Embukyaku to Kikou Shou (to Star Move): Another Combo Chain for bosses.
  26. 26
Ground Slam: Decent damage, hits enemies in front, has invincibility.
  27. 27
Jump Kick: Useful against Shadows, Galsias, Agents, and Vial Queens.
  28. 28
Weapon Charge: Great for mowing down groups, can one-shot Shadows.
  29. 29
Straight Punch (Y) chain: Y, Y leads to Elbow to Body (Y), then Upkick (Y).
Tips
  • Hishousouzan vs. Elbow Strike: Both do the same damage. Hishousouzan is unsafe against Rider’s Headbutt Charges, flying attacks (Flying Knees, Body Splashes, Drop Kicks), and anti-air attacks (Donnie’s Uppercut). Elbow Strike can be stopped by a Cop’s grab and a weapon charge from a Galsia. Hishousouzan can be used against Jay’s Flying Kick, Riot Cop’s and DJ K-Washi’s Shields, and Big Ben’s Fire Breath. Elbow Strike can be used against Donnie’s Uppercut.
  • Embukyaku vs. Spinning Drive: Spinning Drive appears less combo-able. Both do the same damage. Use Spinning Drive if you plan to use Aerial Grab.
  • Kikou Shou vs. Aerial Grab: Aerial Grab is useful paired with Spinning Drive. Both do similar damage. Aerial Grab is harder to hit with.
  • Tumbling vs. Ring of Fire: Tumbling is a straight-line dash attack. Ring of Fire is an AOE attack that lingers and can be used for environmental damage.
  • Blaze’s Strengths: Third strongest combo in the game (after the Maxes), can hit twice with some weapons, great reach with a long weapon, strongest charge attack, basic combo to Hishousouzan Combo Chain is extremely damaging and can destroy Riot Cops’ shields by ending up behind the enemy. Her Back Attack, tied with Estel’s for weakest, can hit enemies in front.
  • Blaze’s Weaknesses: Relatively low toughness means she may get KO’d more often. Hishousouzan has weak priority against flying and anti-air attacks. Certain attacks can defeat her Elbow Smash. Most of her Combo Chains are wall-based, limiting options in open spaces.
  • SOR3 Blaze Strengths: Hishousouzan has the most I-frames and is safest. Chou Reppa Dan is also a great Blitz. Basic Combo to Hishousouzan to Special (to Star Move) and Grab Knees to Embukyaku to Kikou Shou (to Star Move) are good for bosses. Ground Slam has invincibility. Weapon Charge can one-shot Shadows.
