Streets of Rage 4 Part 22 walkthrough covering Stages 11-2, 11-3, and the Mr. Y boss fight. Learn strategies for Annes, Gems, and Mr. Y.
Walkthrough
- 1After beating the Victorias, you move onto Stage 11-2, which first introduces Annes (Vial Queens), Dunphys (Riot Cops), Irons (Agents), and Sands (Riot Cops).
- 2The Annes throw electric vials that can also affect Dunphy shields. Prioritize eliminating the Annes first. Be careful not to use the Neutral Throw trick with Annes as their electric vials have a wider damage radius than fire vials.
- 3A baton-less Dunphy can still perform a shield bash if his shield is reactivated. Use similar tactics as you did for Murphys and Victorias against Dunphys and Annes.
- 4After the first wave of Dunphies and Annes, you will face another group with one or two cowardly Barneys (two on Mania and Mania+). Eliminate the Annes and Barney(s) first.
- 5Next, you will board a plane. Avoid staying on the ramp for too long to prevent falling damage. Be wary of Irons and knife-wielding Garcias.
- 6You will then face a group of Sands backed up by Irons. Take out the Irons first, as they hide behind Sands and shoot. SOR3 Blaze’s Blitzes can help reach Agents without getting shot.
- 7Use the same tactics on Sands as you did on Murphys and Dunphys. Be cautious of the Sand’s taser, which causes stunning and can lead to stun lock.
- 8At the end of Stage 11-2, you will encounter more Irons and Sands. Eliminate the Irons first.
- 9Stage 11-3 begins with three Garnets. SOR3 Blaze works well against them.
- 10After the Garnets, more Gems will appear near a table. Use the table for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects), as they cannot drop-kick you across it. Lure each Gem by standing underneath the chair and use combos to defeat them.
- 11A Star is hidden by the table. Go to where the top cocktail glass is.
- 12After the Gems, you will face one Iron on Easy through Hardest, or two Irons on Mania and Mania+.
- 13After dealing with the Iron(s), you will encounter mini-bosses: Belle, Queen, and Stiletto. They are similar to Nora but have less health. Basic combos and Hishousouzans, as well as SOR3 Blaze’s Chou Reppa Dan and SOR4 Blaze’s Rekkaken, should be effective.
- 14After beating the mini-bosses, enter the cockpit for Stage 11-4 and the boss fight against Mr. Y.
- 15Mr. Y walks towards an upper corner preparing to shoot his Uzi horizontally and diagonally. Stay underneath him as he shoots, as this is a committed attack leaving him vulnerable. The lower opposite corner of the screen is also a blind spot.
- 16Mr. Y’s strongest attacks are telegraphed.
- 17Specific tactics for Mr. Y using different Blaze versions include: SOR1 Blaze - Basic Combo; SOR2 Blaze - Basic Combo (-to-Star Move), Basic Combo-to-Blitz (-to-Star Move), Jump Kick-to-Haymaker-to-Blitz (-to-Star Move), Haymaker-to-Blitz (-to-Star Move); SOR3 Blaze - Blitz-to-Defensive Special-to-Kikou Shou, Blitz-to-Kikou Shou-to-Embukyaku, Blitz-to-Special (-to-Star Move), Grab to Ground Slam, Grab to Embukyaku, Chou Reppa Dan; SOR4 Blaze - Basic Combo-to-Blitz (-to-Star Move), Down Jump to Neutral, Rekkaken.
- 18SOR3 Blitzes can dodge Mr. Y’s gunfire and rockets. Her running Chou Reppa Dan is effective for chasing and draining his health.
- 19SOR4 Blitzes can close the distance to Mr. Y. Mr. Y’s Uzi shots can interrupt your Rekkaken, but your Jump Kick and Hishousouzan have a better chance of avoiding gunfire.
