Part 24

When fighting Ms. Y, avoid direct approaches due to her reach. Attack from above or below with combos or grabs.

Dodge her electric sword attack, which moves diagonally.

When Ms. Y flashes red, indicating an armored grab attempt (updated in a patch), get away or use a Jump Kick. In the original release, you could punch out of her grab, but this is no longer possible.

If low on health, the two statues next to the chair contain a Small Health Item and a Large Health Item. In the original release, these were available without penalty. In the update, destroying a statue spawns a Shadow enemy. If necessary, destroy the right statue, which contains a turkey.

Dodge Ms. Y's rapid-fire sword attack (when she flashes white) and counter with a combo when she stops. You can also combo her after her second electric sword charge.

Specific character strategies for Ms. Y:

SOR1 Blaze: Use Basic Combo.

SOR2 Blaze: Use Basic Combo, Basic Combo-to-Blitz, or Haymaker-to-Blitz, followed by a Star Move. Jump Kick her un-armored sword strikes, then Basic Combo.

SOR3 Blaze: Use strongest Combo Chains. Blitzes can protect Blaze from damage. Chou Reppa Dan can punish electric sword attacks without hurting Blaze.

SOR4 Blaze: Use Basic Combo-to-Blitz, followed by an appropriate Special. Use Tamashi Age only if Ms. Y is against a wall. Use Jump Kick to punish Ms. Y's electric attack safely.

When Ms. Y's health is nearly depleted, she retreats. Smash the boxes to restore health and gain points, then follow her to the final stage.

Fight both Mr. Y and Ms. Y. When one loses 2/3 of their health, they will pilot the Y Mecha, starting Part 2.

In this part, Mr. Y only shoots horizontally, not diagonally. Ms. Y's grab attack (when flashing red) loses its armor and can be interrupted with a Basic Combo.

Focus on Mr. Y first. Use Basic Combo or Basic Combo-to-Blitz on him. When he pilots the Mecha, he stops shooting.

SOR3 Blaze can use Blitzes to dodge and punish attacks from the Y twins.

There is a safe spot in the upper left corner of the stage, under the leftmost pillar, where neither you nor the Y Mecha can hit each other.

Concentrate hits on Mr. Y, who tends to hang back and shoot. You must approach him, risking damage from the Y Mecha. Focusing on the Mecha will result in interruptions from Mr. Y's bullets.

Ms. Y is more aggressive and will approach you. Let her come to you. Dodge her sword swings, then combo her. She pauses before attacking, providing an opening. After she gets up, she will try to attack again, offering another combo opportunity.

With SOR3 Blaze, use Basic Combo-to-Blitz-to-Embukyaku on Ms. Y. When she flashes red, she is preparing a grab; this leaves her open for a combo or combo chain, but avoid being grabbed. Repeat until she is defeated.

Once the piloted sibling is defeated, focus on the Y Mecha.

When one of the Mecha's arms comes near and stops, get in a combo or a few hits, then back away before it counters. This strategy inflicts more damage on the Mecha than you receive.

Specific character strategies for the Y Mecha:

SOR1 Blaze: Use Basic Combo.

SOR2 Blaze: Use Basic Combo or two Haymakers.

SOR3 Blaze: Use Basic Combo-to-Blitz-to-Defensive Special if safe. Avoid Combo Chains with Hishousouzan; use Chou Reppa Dan instead. Other options include Basic Combo-to-Embukyaku/Energy Burst, Embukyaku to Kikou Shou, Kikou Shou to Embukyaku, or Spirit Knife-to-Energy Burst, all linkable to a Star Move.

SOR4 Blaze: Use Combo-to-Blitz or Combo-to-Special if safe. If low on health or lives, use Basic Combo or Down Jump to Neutral for safety.

Defeating the Y Mecha completes the game.
