Part 1

A comprehensive guide to Blaze Felding in Streets of Rage 4, detailing her stats, moveset, strengths, weaknesses, and strongest techniques for all four versions.

This is a FAQ and Walkthrough for all four versions of Blaze Felding in Streets of Rage 4. This FAQ will describe the four Blazes, discussing their movesets, strengths and weakness in as much detail as I can. This FAQ will also show you how I have used each Blaze in each walkthrough, showing you things I have discovered that should help you to better survive each stage.

This will be one of many individual FAQ/Walkthroughs for each playable character in Streets of Rage 4.

If there are enough re-tweaks or DLC that come to my attention, or if I find out or am told about enough newer gameplay elements, I will be happy to update this FAQ. Just not regularly (that would drive me nuts).

Part 2

Unlock the full potential of your favorite characters in Streets of Rage 4. This guide details advanced moves, combos, and weapon techniques for Part 2.

Alright, let's dive deeper into the combat system for Part 2 of our Streets of Rage 4 guide. We're going to break down some of the more advanced moves and combos that can really change the flow of a fight. Don't worry if it looks like a lot at first – we'll go through it step-by-step, and you'll be pulling off these flashy attacks in no time.

Advanced Moves & Combos:

  1. Shin Kikou Shou (X + A): This is a powerful projectile attack that can be chained. You'll see it pop up a lot in various combo strings, especially when performed near a wall. It's great for keeping enemies at bay or adding extra damage to a combo.
  2. Tamashi Age (X + A): Often chained with Shin Kikou Shou, this move is excellent for launching enemies into the air, setting them up for follow-up aerial attacks. It's particularly effective when performed against a wall.
  3. Embukyaku (X): A standard forward attack that can lead into other moves. It's a good opener or a way to reposition yourself slightly.
  4. Kikou Shou (f + X): A forward-moving special attack. Useful for closing distance quickly or hitting enemies in front of you.
  5. Uraken Uchi (X): This is another basic attack, often used in combos. It's a solid go-to when you need to keep pressure on.
  6. Falling Kick (jump, Y): A downward aerial attack. Good for starting an air combo or hitting enemies below you.
  7. Shin Hishousouzan (X (air) or jump, X): This is your primary air combo starter or extender. It's a diving attack that can lead into further aerial maneuvers or ground combos when the enemy is knocked down.
  8. Jump Kick (forward jump, Y): Another aerial option, useful for initiating attacks from above.
  9. Falling Chop (jump, d + Y): A more direct downward aerial attack, good for specific combo setups.
  10. Hien Zan (f + X): A dashing attack that can cover ground quickly and hit enemies.
  11. Tobi Kyaku (B, X): A jumping kick that can be used both on the ground and in the air, often chaining into other specials.
  12. Rekkaken (f, f + Y): This is a powerful dashing attack that knocks enemies back. It's great for creating space or pushing enemies off ledges.
  13. Dashing slash upper (f, f + Y): A variation of the dashing attack, good for different combo timings.
  14. Heavy swing (f, f + Y): This refers to using certain weapons with a forward dash, often resulting in a powerful, sweeping attack.
  15. Backhand (Y (hold)): Holding the Y button can lead into different follow-up attacks.

Weapon Integration:

Remember, many of these moves can be enhanced or altered when you pick up a weapon. Weapons like the Knife, Broken bottle, Broken pool stick, Sai, Pipe, Unbroken bottle, Bat, Unbroken pool stick, Motorcycle Engine, Katana, Road Sign, Meat Cleaver, Spear, Mop, Taser, Baton, and Clawhammer all have unique properties and can extend combos or add significant damage. For instance, using f, f + Y with a weapon like a Katana or Pipe can result in a devastating combo finisher.

Tips for Practice
  • Don't be afraid to experiment in safer areas or against weaker enemies. The training mode is your best friend here!
  • Focus on one or two new combos at a time. Trying to learn everything at once can be overwhelming.
  • Pay attention to the 'wall' notation. Performing certain moves next to a wall can extend combos significantly or change the move's properties.
  • Mastering the juggle system (keeping enemies in the air with combos like Tamashi Age into air attacks) is key to high-damage sequences.
  • Use projectile moves like Shin Kikou Shou to control space and set up your more aggressive combos.

Part 4

Unlock the full potential of your Streets of Rage 4 characters! This guide breaks down advanced combos and special moves for Part 4, helping you dominate every stage.

Alright, let's dive into Part 4 of Streets of Rage 4! This section is all about expanding your move set and really starting to chain some serious damage. Think of these as your character's special techniques – the stuff that really separates the pros from the rookies.

We're going to break down the special moves and combos. Pay close attention to the directional inputs combined with attack buttons, as that's key to unlocking everything. Don't worry if it looks like a lot at first; we'll go through it step-by-step, and you'll be pulling off these moves like a champ in no time.

Key Moves & Combos:

  • Shin Kikou Shou (X + A): This is your go-to special. It's versatile and can be used in many situations, including against walls for extended combos.
  • Tamashi Age (X + A, often after a wall hit): Another powerful special that often follows up Shin Kikou Shou, especially when you've got an enemy pinned against a wall.
  • Kikou Shou (f + X): A forward-moving special that's great for closing distance and hitting multiple enemies.
  • Hien Zan (f + X, after certain moves): This is an aerial dash attack, perfect for closing gaps or adding an extra hit mid-air.
  • Uraken Uchi (X): A solid standing punch that can be chained into other moves.
  • Embukyaku (X): A kick-based attack, often used to start combos or keep enemies at bay.
  • Tobi Kyaku (X (air)): An aerial kick that can be followed up with more attacks.
  • Shin Hishousouzan (B, X or X (air) after certain moves): This is a more advanced move, often a powerful finisher or combo extender.

Advanced Techniques & Combos:

You'll notice a lot of these moves can be chained together, especially when an enemy is against a wall. For example, after hitting an enemy with a basic combo (Y, Y, …), you might be able to follow up with Rekkaken (f, f + Y) if they're against a wall, and then potentially a Shin Kikou Shou (X + A).

Grabbing enemies (f towards enemy) opens up a whole new set of follow-ups. A simple Y after a grab will slam them to the ground, leading into further attacks like Hishousouzan (f, f + Y) or Rekkaken (f, f + Y). Don't forget you can also use b + Y for a Wheel Throw or B for a Vault into a Suplex!

Mastering the air game is crucial too. Moves like Tobi Kyaku (X (air)) can be chained, and you can even transition into specials like Shin Hishousouzan (X (air)) from airborne attacks.

Tips for Part 4
  • Practice Combos: Spend some time in training mode if you have it, or just experiment between fights. Getting the timing down for chaining these moves is key.
  • Wall Combos are Your Friend: Always look for opportunities to pin enemies against walls. The follow-up damage can be massive.
  • Mix Up Your Attacks: Don't just spam one move. Use your basic attacks, specials, grabs, and aerial moves to keep enemies guessing and to maximize your damage output.
  • Learn the Inputs: Some of these inputs require precise timing and direction. Focus on one or two new moves at a time until you're comfortable.

By the time you're through Part 4, you should feel a lot more confident in your offensive capabilities. Keep practicing, and you'll be stringing together devastating combos that will make even the toughest enemies think twice!
