Recover the Xel'Naga Artifact in StarCraft II Part 13. Unlock the Battlecruiser and gain 125,000 credits.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Start the mission with 3 Battlecruisers. Use a Yamato blast on the first visible Stalker, then destroy the two that appear with regular shots.
  2. 2
Move into the first rip field and head for the generator. Use remaining Yamato shots to weaken it, then finish with regular shots.
  3. 3
Your base will be deployed with a Command Center, Barracks, Factory, Starport, Merc Compound, Fusion Core, Refinery, and 4 Supply Depots, plus 5 SCVs.
  4. 4
Have SCVs mine minerals immediately and queue up 5 more.
  5. 5
Build Tech Labs for your Barracks, Factory, and Starport.
  6. 6
Queue up 3 more SCVs once the first 5 are produced. You should have automated Refineries, negating the need for SCVs to harvest Vespene Gas.
  7. 7
Have new SCVs produce Supply Depots and begin producing Battlecruisers.
  8. 8
Build an Armory to upgrade Battlecruiser weapons and armor.
  9. 9
Once you have 5 Battlecruisers, build 1-2 Hercules or Medivacs.
  10. 10
Send Battlecruisers to the edge of the next rip field to destroy cannons.
  11. 11
Have an SCV gather mineral shards and gas southwest of your base, and another build an Engineering Bay for Missile Turrets and Sensor Towers.
  12. 12
Clear out the two Stalkers south of your base before SCVs get near them.
  13. 13
Destroy the second Rip Field generator, then clear out bases outside the remaining fields.
  14. 14
A cutscene (a type of cinematic event) will reveal your bonus objective: rescue 4 Protoss defectors housed in yellow beacons on your (the main display showing game information) minimap (a small map showing the surrounding area).
  15. 15
Free the defectors as you move west, destroying rip field generators.
  16. 16
Transport at least 2 SCVs to where the Protoss base was destroyed and build 3 automated refineries.
  17. 17
Upgrade your starship weapons and armor at the Armory.
  18. 18
Build a Bunker at your home base and garrison it with Marines to defend against small attacks.
  19. 19
Send your Battlecruiser squad to the rip field generator southwest of the former Protoss base. Destroy it and free the Protoss prisoners to its northeast.
  20. 20
Lift your base and move it to the first Protoss base area. Land and begin mining. Transport SCVs to join the base. Leave one SCV with Marines in the Bunker for repairs and defense.
  21. 21
Send Battlecruisers south to destroy the fourth rip field generator. Free the Protoss prisoners to the east of the generator, either before or after destroying it. These prisoners require transport off their platform. Be cautious of 2 Carriers and a Void Ray between the prisoners and the generator.
  22. 22
Head north to the next rip field generator. Defend against Cruisers, Void Rays, Stalkers, and Archons. Destroy Pylons to slow Protoss reproduction.
  23. 23
Fall back for repairs if needed, keeping your Cruisers alive. Take out structures in the opened area, send SCVs to repair Cruisers, and continue producing Battlecruisers.
  24. 24
Head north to free the third group of Protoss prisoners marked on your map. You should have at least 10 Battlecruisers by now.
  25. 25
Head south to destroy the sixth rip field generator, then backtrack east to free the last Protoss prisoners. These prisoners will need transport off their platform.
  26. 26
Send Battlecruisers to the far north to destroy a Scout, 3 cannons, and a Pylon. Destroy the Pylon to disable the cannons.
  27. 27
Head west to destroy the seventh rip field generator.
  28. 28
Go to the far west corner, then south to destroy the last Rip Field Generator. Face Scouts, Carriers, and Sentries along the way.
  29. 29
Make your way south, then east back towards your SCVs for repairs.
  30. 30
Once repaired, head back in and clear all remaining Protoss opposition. Do not get too close to the vault before clearing the area.
  31. 31
A Protoss Purifier awaits. It will warp in Stalkers and Carriers and temporarily remove some of your troops. Use all available Yamato shots to weaken and destroy it.
  32. 32
Once the Purifier is destroyed, move in and destroy the vault itself.
Tips
  • Use Yamato blasts strategically to weaken high-threat targets like generators and the final Purifier.
  • Prioritize upgrading your Battlecruisers' weapons and armor at the Armory.
  • Consider building Hercules or Medivacs for transport and support once you have 5 Battlecruisers.
  • Defend your base with a Bunker garrisoned by Marines against small attacks.
  • Don't hesitate to fall back for repairs to keep your valuable Battlecruisers alive.
  • Destroying Pylons can hinder Protoss reinforcement.
  • Be cautious of the Purifier's special abilities that can temporarily remove your units.
  • Credit Reward: 125,000
