Navigate the Sand People Territory in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Choose between diplomacy or combat, find the Star Map, and uncover the history of the Sand People.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon entering the Sand People Territory, a Sand Person will notice your disguise. HK-47 will comment on the communication. You have a choice: claim you are not a threat, or attack.
  2. 2
If you choose to fight: HK-47 will leave your party. You will be given the option to retreat or fight. Choose to fight. The most effective strategy is to circle the main path, eliminating the Sand People there first. Then, clear out the separate rooms, being careful not to harm the captives. When you encounter Griff, do not kill him. Doing so yields no experience and prevents the quest from completing. Instead, tell him to flee to Anchorhead.
  3. 3
If you choose peace: The Sand Person will escort you to the Chieftain. To reduce the frequency of attacks, you must obtain moisture vaporators.
  4. 4
Return to the Czerka office in Anchorhead and purchase moisture vaporators from the merchant.
  5. 5
Bring the vaporators back to the Sand People territory. Speak to the guard, who will take you to the Chieftain.
  6. 6
Inform the Chieftain you have the vaporators. He will reduce the number of attacks and reward you with his Chieftain's Gaffi.
  7. 7
Inquire about the Jawas and Mission's brother; the Chieftain will permit you to take them.
  8. 8
Ask about the Star Map. The Chieftain will provide a map to the Eastern Dune Sea, warning that a Krayt Dragon inhabits the area.
  9. 9
Worthy of History: You can also ask the Chieftain about their people's history. They will only share information if you provide a Krayt Dragon Pearl. These pearls are valuable as lightsaber crystals, so consider if you wish to trade one.
Tips
  • Looting any items within the Sand People enclave will provoke an attack.
