Chapter 1: Aurora - The First Conquest

Your first steps in Pokémon Conquest! Learn how to tackle the Aurora kingdom, master the battle system with Eevee and Jigglypuff, and secure your first victory.

Alright, welcome to Pokémon Conquest! We're diving right into the action with Chapter 1, focusing on the Aurora kingdom. Think of this as your very first conquest – hence the title, "The First Conquest." It's all about getting your bearings and securing your starting territory.

After you boot up the game and choose your character (boy or girl, and your name!), you'll find yourself in the Aurora kingdom. It's pretty clear you're the new Warlord here, and everyone's taking notice, especially of your Eevee – a pretty rare Pokémon, so treat it well!

Things get exciting fast because warriors from the neighboring Ignis kingdom show up, ready to challenge you and try to take over Aurora. This is your first real test!

Battle: Hideyoshi's Army (Turns: 20)

This is where the unique Pokémon Conquest battle system really kicks in. It's got a bit of a tactical feel, like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. You've got 20 turns to win, and your Pokémon will battle against the enemy army. The goal here is simple: defeat all the enemies. If your Pokémon gets knocked out, though, you lose, especially since Eevee is your only fighter right now.

Opponent Pokémon:

Win Conditions: Beat all enemies.
Lose Conditions: Have your Pokémon KO’ed.

As Hideyoshi's turn starts, a friendly character joins you with her Jigglypuff to lend a hand. She'll walk you through the basics of moving your Pokémon. Basically, select your Pokémon (press A twice), then use the D-Pad to pick a tile to move to. You'll have options to "Fight" if an enemy is close, or "Wait." For now, just focus on moving.

On your next turn, Jigglypuff will take care of the Bidoof with Doubleslap. Your job is to move your Eevee next to the remaining Tepig and take it down. Once you're in range, select "Fight" and then target Tepig. Eevee's Quick Attack should be enough to defeat it, securing your first victory!

After the battle, your Link percentages will increase, and you'll head back to Aurora. The character who helped you out will introduce herself and offer to join your army. Definitely accept her offer – you'll need all the help you can get!

Eventually, you'll be on the overworld map of the Ransei region. It's a good idea to save your game via the "Menu" and check out the other menus. Then, head back into Aurora.

Back in town, you'll have a brief chat with another character before learning about the Farm, where you can find wild Pokémon to meet your current objectives. Once that scene wraps up, you're ready to move on!
