Discover the best training grounds and methods to improve your Pokémon's compatibility and strength in Pokémon Conquest. Learn how to link with Pokémon and evolve them for battle.
In Pokémon Conquest, training your Pokémon is crucial for success. The primary way to strengthen your Pokémon is by increasing their compatibility, or "Link," with your Warlords. This can be achieved through two main methods:
- Visiting outlets in a castle town: These locations offer opportunities to interact with and train your Pokémon.
- Fighting wild Pokémon at castles within your territory: Engaging in battles with wild Pokémon not only provides experience but also allows for taming and potentially obtaining new Links.
Wild Pokémon compatibility is indicated by bronze, silver, or gold medals. A 'Link' is not possible if an 'X' is shown. Each character also has a "Best Link Pokémon" that can achieve 100% linkage, which might differ from their starting Pokémon.
Pokémon evolution is also present in Pokémon Conquest. Similar to the main series, Evolutionary Stones can be used for certain Pokémon. Additionally, Warlords and the protagonist can change their appearance based on their Link percentage with their Pokémon partner, with the protagonist having three forms based on strength level.
Energy, or willpower, is also a key factor in a Pokémon's battle performance. This is indicated by colored arrows next to their icon. Low energy can be restored by resting the Pokémon or by letting them eat ponigiri.
