Discover trainers, rare Pokémon, and hidden items in the Desert Resort. Learn about trainer battles and the path to Relic Castle in Pokémon Black and White.

Alright, so you've made it to the Desert Resort. It's not exactly a vacation spot, more like a sandy pit stop on your way to Relic Castle up north. Expect lots of trainers looking to battle and plenty of wild Pokémon to catch, especially Ground types. Just like Route 4, walking around in the deep sand means you'll run into battles pretty often, so be ready!

If your Pokémon get a bit banged up, there's a Doctor right after you pass through the gatehouse. He's super helpful and will heal your team, but fair warning: he'll want to battle you first before he'll offer his services. Gotta earn that heal, right?

Trainer Battles in Desert Resort

You'll run into a bunch of trainers here. Here's a quick rundown of who you might face and their Pokémon:

  • Doctor: Solosis (Level 23, Psychic)
  • Backpacker: Tranquill (Level 23, Normal/Flying)
  • Pokemon Ranger: Ducklett (Level 24, Water/Flying)
  • Pokemon Ranger: Darumaka (Level 23, Fire) and Blitzle (Level 23, Electric)
  • Backpacker: Dwebble (Level 23, Bug/Rock)
  • Backpacker: Watchog (Level 23, Normal)
  • Psychic: Gothita (Level 24, Psychic)
  • Psychic: Yamask (Level 22, Ghost) and Munna (Level 22, Psychic)
  • Backpacker: Maractus (Level 23, Grass)
  • Psychic: Solosis (Level 23, Psychic) and Woobat (Level 23, Psychic/Flying)

Items to Find

Keep an eye out for these items scattered around the resort:

  • Black Glasses
  • Soft Sand
  • Fresh Water
  • Fire Stone
  • Rawst Berry
  • Stardust
  • TM39 Rock Tomb
  • Heart Scale
  • Super Potion
  • Rare Candy
  • Ether
  • Hyper Potion

Navigating Desert Resort

If you head to the south-west corner of the desert, you can snag TM39 Rock Tomb. It's a pretty useful move, so definitely grab it if you can!

When you're ready to move on, look for the entrance to Relic Castle in the north-east corner. It's pretty distinctive, marked by a bunch of statues. There's another entrance in the north-west, but that one's more of an exit, so don't get too confused.
