Your Outward journey begins! Learn how to loot your starting home, manage inventory with the Primitive Satchel, and prepare for the 'Call to Adventure' quest.

Alright, so you've just woken up in your new home after using that bedroll on the cliff. Take a good look around and grab anything that seems useful! The absolute must-have here is the 'Primitive Satchel' – you'll find it right by the fire, just down the stairs from the main room. Slap that on and immediately stash any gear you picked up on the beach. This is a lifesaver for managing your carry weight, especially for heavy but essential items like your pickaxe.

Don't forget to loot the chest near the fire, then head into the room on your right. Grab any food you see – always good to have a stock! Then, head downstairs. You'll find even more food, plus some crucial everyday gear like a bedroll, lantern, and flint tools. You'll also find a recipe for basic cooking; make sure to use it from your inventory to learn it. Pro-tip: save that lantern for when you really need it, as it does have a limited burn time.

Keep in mind that most of the loot you find in chests and containers is randomized for your playthrough. Make the most of what you get, and prioritize items that boost your combat stats.

Once you've thoroughly looted your house, head out the front door. You'll run into some locals, so just go through the dialogue until it wraps up. Here's the kicker: you've got 5 days to pay 150 silver, or they'll take your house! Luckily, there's an alternative – you can do a tribal favor instead. This is definitely the way to go, as it frees up your silver to buy much-needed supplies for your adventures. We'll focus on this path.

After you've finished chatting with Rissa, this quest, 'Home: Awaken', will wrap up, and 'Call to Adventure' will kick off.
