Alright, so you're looking to snag the 'Apex Predator' achievement in Outward? That means you've gotta take down a Manticore. These guys are pretty rare, but don't worry, I know a couple of spots where you can reliably find them. It's not exactly a walk in the park, but with a little preparation, you'll be fine.

Where to Find a Manticore:

There are two main places you'll want to check. The first is in the region of Abrassar, specifically at a place called 'Parched Shipwrecks'. This spot is northwest of the city of Levant. The second option is in Enmerkar Forest, southwest of the Cabal of Wind Temple. The images in the guide show you exactly where these are, so keep an eye on those.

The Parched Shipwrecks Strategy:

Now, the Parched Shipwrecks location is actually pretty sweet because the Manticore there is often already weakened. When you get to the shipwrecks, be careful because there are other creatures patrolling the area. What you want to do is wait until the Manticore has finished fighting and defeated two Assassin Bugs that are usually there. By the time you jump in, the Manticore should have already lost about a quarter of its health. This makes the fight significantly easier for you.

General Manticore Tips:

• Watch out for elemental bolts: Just like the Royal Manticore, this one will shoot elemental attacks at you. You need to be ready to dodge these.
• Keep your distance: Whenever possible, try to fight it from a distance. Ranged attacks are your best friend here.
• Manage your stamina: Don't just spam attacks. Keep an eye on your stamina bar so you can dodge and block effectively. Efficient stamina use is key to winning this fight without getting overwhelmed.

By heading to the Parched Shipwrecks and waiting for the Manticore to fight the Assassin Bugs first, you'll have a much better chance of taking it down and earning that achievement.
