Navigate the Fascist fortifications in Metro 2033. Learn how to get the Hedge-hopper and Invisible Man achievements.

Hedge-hopper Achievement:

• To earn the Hedge-hopper achievement, you must kill the two armored soldiers in the tunnel.
• Then, proceed onto the tracks and eliminate all remaining soldiers between the tunnel and the raised platform. All these soldiers are armored.
• Alternatively, it is possible to sneak past them without raising an alarm.
• On the raised platform, there are two Fascist soldiers who can be knocked out (non-lethal takedown).
• You'll find stationary machineguns (weapons that are fixed in place) on the raised platform. Next to the machinegun on the left, when facing the Red's side, is a box with supplies.
• In front of the raised platform, two armored soldiers patrol along the tracks. On each side of these patrolling soldiers, there is a Fascist soldier who can be knocked out.
• On the left side of the tracks, a staircase leads down to a lower platform.
• Here, you can knock out two Fascist soldiers.
• On the right, there is an unarmored soldier manning a stationary machinegun who can also be knocked out.
• An armored soldier patrols to the end of the lower platform closest to the Red's side.

Hedge-hopper Ranger Hardcore Strategy:

• On Ranger Hardcore difficulty, be cautious to avoid being overwhelmed and quickly killed.
• Begin by killing the two armored soldiers in the tunnel.
• Watch out for the railcar (a train car used for transport).
• When the armored enemy in the middle of the track has his back turned, kill the two enemies to the left and right.
• If the railcar observes any action against the armored guard patrolling the middle of the track, it will stop in front of the room at the top of the stairs. This allows for easy elimination of the two enemies inside the railcar without raising an alarm.
• The optimal method is to snipe the armored enemy when the railcar is to the left and outside the tunnel.
• Kill the driver of the railcar. This will cause the enemy in the turret to exit the railcar. Kill this enemy as well. Note that you cannot recover any arrows, ammo, or grenades from the dead driver.
• Sneak out and use melee attacks (pressing [V]) to destroy the railcar's headlights.
• The next part requires careful execution. Do not kill the two enemies on the raised platform with the stationary machinegun if an armored enemy is positioned beneath the platform.
• Instead, wait until the two armored enemies are under the platform before eliminating them.
• Do not kill the enemy on the far right until they have moved all the way to the right and the armored enemy on the right side has been dealt with.
• To eliminate the enemies on the platform, snipe the enemy on the far left when they are as far left as possible. Repeat this for the enemy on the far right.
• Next, snipe each armored enemy when they are positioned under the platform.
• Finally, eliminate the two enemies on the upper platform.
• Locate the stairs on the left when facing the Red frontline. There are four enemies in this area: one is armored, and another mans a stationary machinegun. Eliminate all four.
• A supply box is located by the lower stationary machinegun, with additional boxes on the raised platform. Loot all fallen enemies.
• Proceed down the tunnel to the train. Eliminate the enemy who walks into the tunnel and the enemy positioned behind the concrete barrier.
• Descend to the Subway Tunnel below.

Invisible Man Achievement:

• To achieve the Invisible Man achievement, disregard all Fascist soldiers in the fortified area facing the Red's side.
• On either side of the tracks within the tunnel, there are ditches that run along the edges.
• Enter either ditch and stealthily bypass the two armored soldiers.
• Exit the ditch and extinguish the lamp.
• Run down the left side of the tracks. Duck into the alcove before the railcar passes.
• Sneak to the right side of the tracks to evade a soldier.
• Proceed to the right, to the bottom of a ladder. Extinguish the lamp here.
• The ladder leads to a set of pipes that cross over the soldiers below and descend to the subway cars. For this achievement, you can skip the ladder and pipes.
• Always turn off lamps whenever possible.
• Return to the tunnel and non-lethally take out or kill the soldier who entered the tunnel. Wait for them to stop moving to prevent their body from being spotted by the railcar.
• Turn around and non-lethally take out or kill the soldier standing behind the concrete barricade.
