Walkthrough:

  1. After finding ammo, attempt to open the locked door. Otacon will call, suggesting you go to his old office to open it and check base records. He provides the password: 48273.
  2. Climb to the second floor and take the elevator down to B2.

    • Using C4: Plant C4 charges in the far corner opposite the MK.III. Detonate them when the Gekko approaches the door to draw its attention. Space charges to avoid chain reactions.
    • Using a Machine Gun (if alert is raised): Find a machine gun in the southwest corner. Shoot the Gekko to lure it away from the MK.III, then run circles around the warheads until time expires. Shoot it again if it wanders north. Knocking out its legs can provide extra time.
    • Speed Run (with completed save file): Use the rail gun to instantly destroy the Gekko.
  15. After the door opens, proceed to the next area.

    • Lie down to rejuvenate your life gauge and psyche.
    • Unequip the Solid Eye to recharge its battery.
    • Pick up items on the platform and in the storage shed.
    • Jump down to the snowfield to face Crying Wolf.
