Car Choice: Do not use a slow car, as this is a timed mission. The Bolt V8 Roadster from Salieri's warehouse is a good option.

Lassiter V16 Police Car Glitch: To obtain this car, go to the southwest corner of the northernmost block in Hoboken. Navigate north along the east side of the narrow road to the orange/wooden fence. Find the third wooden support post from the north end and walk through it into a dirt lot. Head southeast towards a five-story brick building with a tree. The Lassiter V16 Police car is east of this building. Turn it to drive east-northeast across the lot to a point east of the straight east-west railroad track where there is no fence, allowing you to drive onto the track. Use the track to reach a railroad crossing and get onto the road. This car cannot be saved at a garage.

Using the Lassiter V16 Police Car: Normally, the police arrive in this car when Tommy is close to the time limit. If you acquire the car beforehand and park it, you can initiate the mission. If you get back into the car with more than 20 seconds left on the timer, the police will appear inside the car with Tommy. The car will then drive itself to the friend's location, but you can only control acceleration. If you stop before reaching the destination, the police will exit. Keep accelerating until you are near the friend's house, then gain full control. If you stop outside, the police will proceed to the house. If you stop inside a garage, they will exit and remain stationary.

Police Encounter: If you wait for the police to arrive and enter the house, you'll notice they have a different uniform, drive a Lassiter V16 Police car, and fighting them doesn't immediately trigger an arrest warrant. There are three officers in blue uniforms and one undercover officer in a light brown coat. Two blue-uniformed officers guard the door, while the other two enter the building. The officers carry Pump-action shotguns and handguns.
