Learn to master Tommy's gunplay, including aiming, reloading, and weapon switching in Mafia: The Old Country Part 35. Discover combat tips and control reassignments.
Walkthrough
- 1When holding a gun, pressing LMB raises it for aiming. Subsequent LMB presses fire the weapon. If out of ammo, it attempts to reload.
- 2The reticle expands briefly when firing. If out of ammo, the reticle will not expand. Check the ammo count in the lower-left corner or observe the reticle's behavior.
- 3Shoot the seven cans off the plank on the canisters in the middle of the room using mouse aim and LMB. You can move closer to the cans for easier shots. Aim for each can sequentially.
- 4The instructor reminds Tommy to reload. Press the Reload key (Default: L, My Controls: F) to reload. Reloading discards any remaining bullets in the current magazine/cylinder. The ammo bar in the lower-left shows current and reserve ammo.
- 5Reloading can be sped up by performing a side roll during the animation; the gun will be reloaded at the end of the roll.
- 6Switch weapons quickly using the Scroll Wheel (Default and My Controls). The current weapon name appears briefly in the lower-left corner.
- 7The instructor explains that carrying visible weapons can lead to arrest by police. Press the "Hide weapon" key (Default: H, My Controls: E) to conceal a weapon. "Empty hands" appears briefly on screen.
- 8A policeman will consider carrying a visible weapon an offense. Gangsters not in Tommy's crew may also attack.
- 9Tommy can conceal five small weapons and one large weapon. He can carry a second large weapon but cannot conceal it. If carrying an unconcealable large weapon and a policeman is near, drop it.
- 10Take the Baseball bat (a large weapon) from the table using RMB.
- 11The instructor notes that large weapons cannot always be hidden. If carrying a hidden large weapon and another unconcealable large weapon, and a policeman is spotted, the unconcealable weapon must be dropped.
- 12Press the "Drop weapon" key (Default: Backspace, My Controls: R) to drop the bat. The Baseball bat is an exception; Tommy can carry it openly without police offense.
- 13Pick up the Baseball bat again by approaching it and pressing RMB.
- 14The police do not trouble Tommy for carrying a bat openly, but will react if he uses it to strike someone.
- 15The instructor points out a man and instructs Tommy to knock him out from behind.
- 16When using a melee weapon (like the Baseball bat or Knife) or fists, pressing LMB initiates a swing. Holding LMB fills a progress bar for a stronger attack.
- 17Get behind the approaching man, fill the progress bar by holding LMB, and knock him out with the bat. A fully powered bat swing stuns the victim; a fully powered Knife strike results in a kill. The victim will fall and not get up.
- 18The instructor directs Tommy to walk to a car to learn driving. The compass will appear and point to the car.
- 19Exit the room and hall through the door (RMB) and proceed to the car.
Tips
- The reticle expands momentarily when Tommy fires. If it doesn't expand, he's out of ammo.
- Reloading during a side roll is faster than a standard reload.
- Concealing weapons is crucial to avoid police attention and potential attacks from rival gang members.
- The Baseball bat can be carried openly without consequence, but using it to assault someone will be noticed.
- A fully charged melee attack (holding LMB) is a one-hit knockout or kill when striking from behind.
