Part 107

Complete the Mafia: The Old Country Part 107 mission, The Death Of Art-Sam. Includes strategies for defeating Sam and details on the final cutscene.

Cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically): Tommy walks onto a balcony holding a Colt 1911. Sam takes a shot at him with a Thompson 1928 from the balcony across the room. They each take (cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects)) beside one of the rectangular spaces of the walls at the edge of the balcony. Tommy and Sam exchange dialogue about betrayal and diamonds. Sam questions Tommy about not killing Frank. Sam reveals they found Frank's wife and that Tommy is too human. Tommy runs across a nearby rectangular space in the wall while shooting at Sam, who ducks back behind cover. Sam explains he should have killed Tommy's wife's best friend and that they couldn't rely on Tommy, leading them to check up on Frank. Tommy asks if it has to end this way, but Sam says there's no way back.

The easy way to have Tommy kill Sam and complete the mission:

Linkin101's method:

1. Turn right, go around a pillar, and run clockwise through the hall, following a 90-degree bend, until you reach a corner where you can see Sam at the other end of the hall.
2. Use the Colt 1911 to fire at Sam seven times.
3. Wait for about half a minute behind the corner.
4. Shoot Sam another seven times. Sam runs away.
5. Go counter-clockwise through the hall around three 90-degree bends.
6. Be ready to shoot Sam as he appears from behind the next corner. Shoot him.

Ivan18241's method:

1. Use the Thompson 1928 to keep shooting at Sam until he runs away.
2. Continue clockwise through the hall around two 90-degree bends.
3. Shoot Sam who appears as you approach the third bend.

Cutscene: Sam, shot by Tommy, staggers away leaving a trail of blood as Tommy pursues him with his Colt 1911 drawn. Sam comes from behind a corner with a Thompson 1928 and shoots at Tommy, who drops to the floor. The machine gun jams, and Sam drops it. Tommy aims his gun at Sam, who holds up his arms in surrender. Sam drops his arms and notes the situation is the same, and Tommy can't decide. Sam limps away. Tommy says, "Damn it." Sam limps through the museum, trying to escape, while Tommy follows the trail of blood. Sam goes toward the small round balcony below Tommy's position, and Tommy shoots Sam in the back. Sam looks at the blood on his hand and says Tommy did it, but they will get him all the same, mentioning Salieri. Sam turns to face Tommy and says Tommy is dangerous, and Paulie is dead. Sam states Tommy will have to hide like an outcast and they will get him all the same, like Frank. Tommy asks if they found Frank. Sam says Tommy only lengthened his life, but they found him all the same, and Frank was the Don's only real friend. Sam says friendship ain't worth shit. Tommy shoots Sam three times. Sam dies and falls face forward onto the bills he threw earlier.
