Mafia: The Old Country cheat codes for infinite ammo, big hands, and more. Learn about Freeride mode and how to save your game for $2,000.

Codes

To enter a code, type it during the game and, if you entered it correctly, the screen goes black for a fraction of a second before the code takes effect. To cancel the code, type it again.

Code Effect

boxer Tommy has big hands. His items and weapons are big, too, while he holds them.

cornufse Tommy can jack or pick the lock of any car (only for v1.2)

cumdal Increase draw distance (only for v1.2). This adds details to certain things, like reflections on caps in the river.

jizda The roof is removed from Tommy's car if it's a soft top car.

krefjezivot Tommy has full Health (it can only be used once per mission).

municak If Tommy has at least one full unused cylinder/magazine/cartridge (the right number of the pair in the ammo bar of the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)) for a gun or guns he has or acquires, the amount of the unused cylinder(s)/magazine(s)/cartridge(s) won't get lower. If that's the case, when Tommy uses up the amount of his current cylinder/magazine/cartridge (the left number of the pair in the ammo bar of the HUD), he'll reload it. Tommy will have infinite ammo for that gun or guns. It doesn't work for thrown weapons.

parnik Use the noclip function of "MafiaCon1.2" or "Mafia Hack v1.03" (see the "Mods" section) for a better view: another Tommy stands right behind the elderly lady pedestrian who's in a long red-orange dress on the cabin of the boat that regularly passes through the West River. They have their arms outstretched like Jack and Rose in the "I'm flying!" scene in the 1997 movie "Titanic."

polifuck This code did not disable cheats or make wanted levels disappear in testing.

rozmaz This code's effect is unknown.

Profile

Before playing any of the missions, you give a name to a Profile for a set of save games. You can't delete individual save games, but you can add another Profile and set of save games or delete a Profile and set of save games. When you start the game, you can pick which Profile you want to use.

"Free Ride"

If you have v1.2 of the game, type "cumdal" at the start of missions to improve draw distance.

You can play "Freeride" while doing the main story missions. "Freeride Extreme" is normally made available by doing all the main story missions, but it is possible to access FR and FRE earlier using specific methods.

Tommy starts Freeride with a Colt 1911, S&W Model 27 Magnum, Sawed-off shotgun, Thompson 1928, full Health, no money, and a Falconer Yellowcar. He can jack or pick the lock of a Falconer Yellowcar and becomes able to do those things with other vehicles as he succeeds at the main story missions.

As other vehicles become available from playing the main missions of the game, you can choose the vehicle maker, the specific model, and, if available, which color except for the last color listed due to a glitch. If you want Tommy to have the vehicle in the color unavailable due to a glitch, you have to have him get it from the street.

Tommy gets the most powerful vehicles to pick from for Freeride by succeeding at the "Freeride Extreme" missions. The FRE missions are available after completing the main story missions or by using a specific method described elsewhere.

You can pick locations and adjust traffic, pedestrian, and police patrol density by succeeding at all the main story missions or using a specific method described elsewhere.

He can make money using a taxi to transport people seen waving to him who want a taxi ride, killing gangsters, blowing up vehicles, and by speeding over 70 mph. After completing the main story missions, this speed threshold goes up to 105 mph.

Saving the game

You save the game for $2,000 by right clicking the front door of Salieri's Bar.

You get one save slot. If you don't reload the save but start the mission again, Tommy starts with no money and the same four weapons he always starts with. A method exists to change your "Freeride" car without losing the money you earned:

  1. Save at Salieri's Bar with the car that you started with.
  2. Exit to the menu.
  3. Start a new "Freeride" with a different car. If the car you had is a two door, then select a two door, etc., or your game may crash. Exceptions to this rule exist for certain vehicle combinations.
Tips
  • Type "cumdal" at the start of missions in v1.2 to improve draw distance.
  • The "municak" code grants infinite ammo for guns, but not thrown weapons.
  • Saving the game costs $2,000 at Salieri's Bar.
  • Be aware of potential game crashes when changing Freeride cars with different door counts, though some players have reported success.
