Learn how to defeat HR-H and HR-E in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Master their attacks and strategies for this factory boss.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Start in the middle of the factory arena. HR-H has four attacks.
  2. 2
When HR-H uses its rocket launcher, watch for shadows and inhale a rocket if you feel lucky.
  3. 3
To avoid HR-H's punch attack, fly high and shoot a rocket at its arm. Time your escape carefully, as you must spit the rocket so HR-H draws its arm over it and you can get away. This is not recommended for Boss Battles.
  4. 4
For HR-H's third attack, where it charges both arms to crush Kirby, float upwards and quickly move left or right as HR-H raises its arms. Land and inhale the two boulders that appear when HR-H smashes its arms down. Exhale these boulders at HR-H for two hits.
  5. 5
Watch HR-H's eye. If it quickly turns left, jump to avoid a fast laser stream on the ground.
  6. 6
Land six hits on HR-H to trigger its transformation into HR-E.
  7. 7
As HR-E, stay on the left side of the screen to avoid its scissors attack.
  8. 8
Dodge HR-E's four small rockets by observing their pattern. You can inhale one and jump to shoot it at HR-E.
  9. 9
When HR-E fires a big rocket, inhale its front part. Jump over the rocket when it charges again and shoot the front part at HR-E.
  10. 10
After HR-E loses half its energy, it will fly up. Wait in the middle of the arena. When HR-E is a few centimeters above your head, run left to make it crash down next to you.
  11. 11
Land six hits on HR-E to defeat it.
Tips
  • HR-H's laser stream attack can cause unnecessary energy loss if you are not careful. Watch its eye.
  • HR-E is tougher than HR-H and requires constant movement.
  • Inhaling and spitting rockets is a key strategy for both forms.
  • This is one of the less easy bosses in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
