Coloured blocks in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards can only be broken with specific special powers or power combos. The colour of the block indicates which power is needed.

Block Colour Chart:

• Black blocks require the Bomb special power.
• Red blocks require the Burn special power.
• Green blocks require the Cutter special power.
• Blue blocks require the Ice special power.
• Orange blocks require the Needle special power.
• Yellow blocks require the Spark special power.
• Brown blocks require the Stone special power.

If you encounter an orange block, you must use the Needle special power or a power combo that includes Needle.

For blocks with two colours, often appearing chequered, you need to create a power combo using the special powers associated with each of the block's colours.
