The Bomb and Needle abilities in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards offer unique offensive capabilities. While Bomb allows Kirby to throw explosive projectiles, Needle provides a defensive and offensive spiky transformation. Bomb Ability:

Kirby can inhale enemies and spit them out as bombs. These bombs can be thrown at enemies or placed on the ground. Holding the attack button allows Kirby to charge the bomb for a larger explosion. Different enemies yield different bomb types.

Needle Ability:

When Kirby inhales a Needle-wielding enemy, he gains the Needle ability. This transforms Kirby into a spiky ball, making him temporarily invincible and able to damage enemies by rolling into them. Pressing the attack button causes Kirby to shoot out needles.
