COG Tags are the primary collectible in Gears of War 2. There are a total of 40 COG Tags scattered throughout the campaign, with each act containing a specific number. Collecting them unlocks achievements and provides small snippets of lore, often detailing the final moments of fallen COG soldiers. They are usually found slightly off the main path, in hidden corners, behind debris, or in areas that require a bit of exploration. Keep an eye out for a faint glow and a distinct sound when you are near a COG Tag. Some are in plain sight but easily missed if you're rushing through. We recommend replaying chapters on Casual difficulty if you're specifically hunting for them, as it allows for more relaxed exploration.
