Welcome to "Disturbance," a chapter that throws you into the thick of Locust resistance. This section will guide you through the initial encounters and environmental hazards, ensuring you navigate the treacherous terrain effectively.

Initial Engagement and Bridge Crossing

As the chapter begins, you'll find yourself in a precarious position. Your immediate objective is to cross a damaged bridge under heavy fire. Here's how to proceed:

• Advance and Take Cover: Immediately move forward and take cover behind the concrete barriers. Locust Drones will be firing from across the chasm.
• Eliminate Initial Threats: Focus your fire on the Drones on the far side of the bridge. Utilize your Lancer's chainsaw for any Drones that attempt to rush your position if you're playing on higher difficulties.
• Bridge Collapse: As you clear the initial wave, the bridge will begin to collapse. A quick-time event (QTE) will initiate. Be prepared to press the indicated button rapidly to avoid falling.
• Regroup and Push Forward: Once you've successfully navigated the QTE, you'll be on the other side. Look for additional cover points as more Locust forces will emerge.

The Collapsed Tunnel and Berserker Encounter

After crossing the bridge, you'll enter a collapsed tunnel. This area introduces a new, formidable enemy:

• Navigating the Debris: The tunnel is littered with debris. Stick close to your squad and use the larger pieces of rubble for cover. Watch out for flanking Locust.
• Berserker Introduction: A Berserker will burst through a wall, initiating a boss-like encounter. This creature is blind but extremely powerful, relying on sound and scent.
• Berserker Strategy:
  • Maintain Distance: The Berserker's melee attacks are devastating. Keep your distance at all times.
  • Exploit Weakness: The Berserker is vulnerable to fire. Look for the large, red fuel tanks scattered throughout the tunnel. Shoot these when the Berserker is near them to ignite it.
  • Lure and Incinerate: Lure the Berserker towards the fuel tanks by making noise (firing your weapon, running). Once it's in position, detonate the tank.
  • Repeat: You'll need to hit the Berserker with multiple explosions to defeat it. Be patient and prioritize survival over aggressive attacks.
  • Ammunition Management: Conserve your Lancer and Shotgun ammo for the fuel tanks. Pick up any additional ammo drops from fallen Locust Drones in the area.
• Aftermath: Once the Berserker is defeated, the path forward will be clear. Proceed through the newly opened passage.

The Cavern and Emergence Holes

The tunnel leads into a vast cavern, a common Locust stronghold. Be prepared for sustained combat:

• Emergence Holes: As you enter, multiple Emergence Holes will open, spawning waves of Locust Drones and Wretches.
• Grenade Priority: Prioritize closing the Emergence Holes with frag grenades. This will significantly reduce the number of enemies you face.
• High Ground Advantage: Look for elevated positions or natural cover that offers a good vantage point over the cavern. This can help you pick off enemies more safely.
• Boomer Threat: A Boomer may appear in this area. Focus fire on its head or use heavy weapons like the Mulcher if available. Its rocket launcher can quickly down your squad.
• Collectibles: Keep an eye out for COG Tags in this cavern. They are often tucked away in alcoves or behind large rock formations.
• Exit: Once the area is clear, locate the exit, usually marked by a natural archway or a collapsed section of rock leading deeper into the Locust territory.
