Chapter 1: Welcome to Delta

Guide through Gears of War 2's Chapter 1: Welcome to Delta. Master movement and cover mechanics, then prepare for combat against Drones and Grenadiers.

The game opens with a brief recap before dropping you into the action. Your first objective is to clear the training grounds. Follow the on-screen prompts to familiarize yourself with basic movement, cover, and shooting. After the training, you'll be deployed to the front lines. Your squad will be tasked with securing a perimeter. Engage the initial waves of Drones and Grenadiers. Utilize the Lancer's chainsaw bayonet for quick, brutal kills on isolated enemies. Remember to actively reload for increased damage. As you push forward, you'll encounter your first Brumak. While you can't defeat it yet, focus on clearing the smaller Locust around it. Your main goal is to reach the designated rally point, fighting through several entrenched Locust positions. Keep an eye out for ammo crates, as you'll be burning through a lot of bullets in this opening chapter. Stick with your squad and use their suppressive fire to your advantage.
