Chapter 2: Tank Run

Navigate the Locust tunnels in Gears of War 2's Chapter 2: Tank Run. Utilize the Centaur tank's cannon and machine gun to clear enemies and advance.

This chapter puts you in the driver's seat of a Centaur tank. Your objective is to drive through the Locust tunnels, clearing a path for the rest of the COG forces. The Centaur is heavily armored and equipped with a powerful cannon and a machine gun. Use the cannon for larger enemies like Boomers and fortifications, and the machine gun for Drones and Tickers. Be mindful of the tank's health, indicated on the HUD. You'll encounter several roadblocks and ambushes. Prioritize destroying the heavy weapons emplacements first, as they can quickly deplete your tank's health. Watch out for Locust that try to board your tank; a quick melee attack ('B') will dislodge them. The path will occasionally split, offering slightly different routes, but both lead to the same destination. The chapter ends with a confrontation against a massive Locust fortification, requiring you to use the Centaur's full firepower to breach it. Keep moving and firing to avoid being overwhelmed.
