Paralogue 5 Bold Approach

Alright, so you've made it to Paralogue 5, "Bold Approach." This one can be a bit of a headache if you're trying to get everything, but don't worry, we'll tackle it together. The main goal here is to defeat the boss, Nichol, in the Riverside Village, Nohr. But there's a catch: you need to protect six unarmed Villagers who are heading straight for danger!

First things first, you'll want to recruit Silas's daughter, Sophie. She's way up in the northeast corner of the map. If Silas is still a mounted unit, he can get to her pretty quickly. Pair him up with Sophie once you recruit her, and they can catch up to the rest of your army in no time.

Now, about those Villagers. They're in the far south and are heading directly towards the enemy. Why? Because the tile the boss, Nichol, is standing on is their escape tile. This means they're going to be in the enemy's attack range almost immediately. If you want all the rewards and bragging rights, you absolutely *must* protect them. This means you need to move fast.

Your best bet is to use the natural bottleneck created by the moat/river in the middle of the map. Send your fastest units – flying units, Takumi with his special bow, and any mounted units – towards this bottleneck. They need to get there pronto to block the path before the Villagers reach it. This will stop the Villagers from moving until the path is clear. It's a good idea to have these fast units ferry another unit for extra firepower later on.

Once that's handled, you need to quickly push through the enemies on the east side of the map. You don't want them catching the Villagers off guard. Keep your healers ready, because the enemy has healers too, and you'll want to take them out first. There are also a bunch of forts in the northwestern part of the map. When you're ready to make your final push, go hard and fast to keep those Villagers safe.

Nichol himself is a flying unit, so bring your best archer to take him down quickly. Once he's defeated, Sophie will join your army permanently. If you managed to keep all the Villagers safe, you'll get all the rewards too!
