Chapter 26 Treason

After the first room, split your troops to deal with heroes below. Use ranged units to break the door, then use high-defense units like Generals to block the path and absorb enemy attacks.

Once the initial heroes are defeated, divide your army into two parties. Send one down the left path and the other down the right.

On the left path, be wary of Faceless units with Poison Strike and Savage Blow. Prioritize killing these enemies. Stoneborn units will attack from range with low accuracy. Send a unit with Locktouch to open the chest.

Regroup at the next door on the left path. Break it down when ready, leaving the Stoneborn for last as they are low priority.

On the right path, prepare for magic-based enemies. Units with high resistance are recommended. Gather your units by the door, break it down, and storm the mages. Focus on Sorcerers first, as Maids primarily heal and buff/debuff.

As you advance south, do not break open the lower doors until both your left and right groups are ready. If you open them prematurely, the enemies inside will rush you.

Open both lower doors simultaneously and let the enemies come to you. Be prepared to counterattack. Heal your units and protect fragile ones with bulkier units. Beware of Berserkers, as they hit hard and rarely miss.

Defeat Hans, who is in this southern group. He can land lucky hits, so soften him up with ranged attacks. He drops the special axe Aurgelmir.

After defeating the southern units, confront Iago. Loot the three chests in his room before taking him out. Units with high resistance are effective against him.

Seize the spot Iago was on to complete the map. You will receive the Excalibur spell book as a bonus.
