Hey there! So you want to know how to get into those special Paralogue missions in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest? It's pretty straightforward once you know the trick, and it's a great way to get some extra units and experience!

Basically, almost all Paralogues are tied to your characters getting married. Once two characters reach S-rank (that's the highest support level, meaning they're hitched!), and you've completed Chapter 14, any children they might have will become available to recruit. The only exception is the very first Paralogue, which you'll get access to differently.

Now, a heads-up about the levels in these missions: the enemies will scale up to match your army's current level. This is super important for the child units you recruit. If you tackle a Paralogue too early, the child unit will start at a low level (like Lv. 1 for Mozu in Paralogue 1, and child units cap at Lv. 20 unpromoted). This means you'll have a lot of work ahead of you to train them up. On the flip side, if you wait until really late in the game, the child unit might not need much training, but they could be in danger from the tougher enemies.

Here's a pro-tip: if you wait until very late in the campaign to recruit a child unit, they'll actually come with an Offspring Seal. Using this item right away will instantly boost them to your army's current level. Pretty neat, huh?
