Master Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest Chapter 20, 'Winds of Change.' Learn about wind mechanics, enemy placements, reinforcements, and seize the Wind Tribe Village.
Walkthrough
- 1Be aware of the wind mechanic: units caught in the wind's path will be moved five spaces at the end of the enemy phase. If there is nowhere to stand, they will be moved to the nearest safe space.
- 2The wind streams affect one additional space to the right and left of what they appear to affect.
- 3Track the wind animations to determine if the winds are blowing north or south.
- 4Position units outside of wind streams to let the wind manipulate enemies.
- 5The wind columns and directions follow a 6-turn pattern, with the final set blowing north.
- 6Using a Dragon Vein will make the winds disappear for that turn.
- 7Consider mobility when picking units; Wyvern Riders like Camilla are useful due to narrow walkways and predictable wind pushes.
- 8Be cautious of Priestess units and Kinshi Knights.
- 9Pair up beefy units with high mobility units for easier movement and switching.
- 10On turn four, reinforcements appear at the top and bottom of the map. Consider leaving units behind to defend your starting position.
- 11Bring units with Locktouch to open three chests: the right chest contains a Dragonstone+, the lower left chest contains a Rescue, and the upper left chest contains 10,000G.
- 12Advance slowly and surely.
- 13Engage Hayato (optional) for experience.
- 14Send your best mage-killer at Hayato.
- 15Advance towards Fuga, gang up on him, and take him out.
Tips
- Use the wind to your advantage by positioning enemies within its path.
- Use Dragon Veins to control wind direction or remove it for a turn, potentially pulling enemies closer.
- Camilla and other Wyvern Riders are effective due to their mobility and how winds affect them.
- Pairing up units can improve mobility and allow for quick switches.
- Leave some units behind to deal with reinforcements that appear near your starting position.
