Anna is a bit of a special case in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, as you can't recruit her through normal gameplay. To get her on your team, you'll need to purchase the DLC map called Anna on the Run. She's a merchant who travels the world, and you'll find she's charismatic and curious, but her biggest obsession is wealth. She also has more side jobs than anyone else in your army!

She's a really solid unit and definitely worth the real money and time investment if you decide to pick her up. She's got excellent all-around growth rates, boosted by her class-specific growths. Her Strength is usable, her Magic is excellent, and her Luck growth is absolutely stellar – which totally fits her merchant background. You can really put her in whatever role you want, and she'll excel. Just keep an eye on her Defense, as it's a bit frail, and try to lean into her much stronger Resistance instead.

Anna's starting class sets are okay, but not amazing. To really unlock her potential, you'll likely need to use scrolls, DLC seals, or even marry her to the male Avatar to inherit his talent if you're aiming for the absolute best Anna possible. However, even with her base classes, she has some great options. Becoming a Troubadour gives her access to Tomebreaker, which is fantastic for taking down enemy mages. If she goes the Adventurer route, she becomes a superb support unit. And of course, Apothecary can upgrade to Merchant... which is perfect for someone obsessed with money! Seriously, getting the Merchant skills is a great idea for Anna. Her Luck is so high that she'll be snagging tons of Gold Bars, which she can then use to become a real powerhouse.
