Hey there! So, you've made it to Paloom and Poft. These areas are a bit of a step up from what you've fought before, but don't worry, they're great for grinding. You'll be facing tougher enemies, sure, but that means more Gil, better chances to fill out your Bestiary, and a chance to really boost your stats, weapons, and spell levels. Plus, if you're on the PSP version, you'll snag some extra art!

From Paloom, it's a short trip northeast to Poft. You can just follow the coast, or if you're feeling fancy, take the ferry for a quick 32 Gil. Poft has all the same shops as Paloom, so if you need any supplies, grab them here or back in Paloom – it really doesn't matter.

Keep an eye out for these monsters around Paloom and Poft:

In Poft, you'll find Cid hanging out on the east side of the Pub. He's got his Airship Service ready to whisk you away. If you haven't learned the Key Term AIRSHIP from Hilda yet, Cid can teach it to you right here. You can use his service to head to your next destination, Salamand, or you can save yourself 200 Gil by just walking there. It's not too far, honestly.

Speaking of Salamand, it's located northwest of Poft. Just head straight north from Poft until you hit the mountains, then hang a left (west), and you'll spot a small town nestled in the mountains. That's Salamand!
