'Armor' (z-A) provides vital protection for your dwarves. It's crafted at a 'Metalsmith's Forge' (b-w-f) or 'Leatherworker's Shop' (b-w-l) from metals, leather, or cloth. Full sets of armor include 'Helmets', 'Breastplates', 'Gauntlets', 'Greaves', and 'Boots'. 'Shields' (z-S) offer additional defense. The material and quality of armor directly impact its ability to deflect blows and protect against injury. Equipping your militia with the best possible armor is paramount.
