Start your Dragon Quest VIII adventure by creating a new log or continuing an existing one. Learn about save file management.
When you power up Dragon Quest VIII, the Adventure Log Menu appears on screen. From this menu, you can manage your saved games.
To start a new game, select "Create a new adventure log". You will then be prompted to input your character name and click enter.
Warning: Dragon Quest VIII only allows two save files, so be careful when saving your progress.
To continue an existing game, choose "Continue your adventure" from the Adventure Log Menu and select the save file you wish to play.
If you have made a Quick Save (a type of save that allows you to suspend your game at any point), you can choose "Continue a suspended adventure" from the menu. This will bring you back to where you last Quick Saved.
If you wish to delete a save file, select "Delete an adventure log" from the Adventure Log Menu.
Warning: Once a save file is deleted, it is gone for good.
