Nightmare of Mensis, Part 1

As you enter the area, you'll notice a central tower that causes damage and Frenzy build-up when in line of sight. Use the surrounding rock formations to break line of sight and allow your Frenzy meter to dissipate before moving on. Continue until you are out of range of the tower's gaze.

Move to the next rock formation and wait for the Loran Silverbeast to approach. Defeat it, and if you didn't land a visceral attack, deal with the Parasite Larva it leaves behind.

Proceed to the next wall of rocks, located just right of an item on the ground, to draw over another Silverbeast. After defeating it, quickly pick up the Blood Vial x8 from the ground.

You have two paths: the right path leads to a dead end with some items and a lamp, while the left path continues into the castle. Head right first.

Rush past the gaps, trying to avoid Frenzy, and then use a visceral attack on the Giant Lost Children guarding an Eye Rune.

After obtaining the Eye Rune, kill the single Giant Lost Child guarding the second lamp in this area. Activating this lamp is highly beneficial once you access the shortcut.

Backtrack to the main path and take the other route, crossing the bridge while defeating another Silverbeast. You will then be out of view of the Frenzy-inducing tower.

Pick up the Frenzied Coldblood (9) from a nearby corpse and continue up the hill.

Be cautious of the numerous Giant Lost Children in this area and the boulders they may throw. Check behind the second giant for a Blood Stone Chunk.
