Missions in Barotrauma are a primary way to earn Marks, which are used to purchase items and submarine upgrades in campaign mode. Different missions are available in Campaign and Mission gamemodes.

Abandoned Outpost Assassination Missions:

• Outpost assassination: Eliminate the leader of an outlaw group occupying an abandoned outpost. Rewards 3,000 or 4,500 Marks and the 'Bounty Hunter' achievement.

Abandoned Outpost Monster Missions (Outpost Recovery):

• Outpost recovery (destroy eggs): Clear an abandoned outpost of hostile fauna by destroying 6 Crawler Eggs. Rewards 3,000 Marks and the 'Pest Control' achievement.
• Outpost recovery (eliminate creatures): Clear an abandoned outpost of hostile creatures, including Husks, Husk Prowlers, and potentially a Husk Chimera. .
• Outpost recovery (ascension ritual): Clear an abandoned outpost of Husks and cultists involved in a ritual. .
