Obtaining an Oberon Sample for Joyce

Prerequisites: Meet Joyce Tanner at Data Store Charlie and agree to help her. Reactivate the Slatten Dale Radio Tower, Casterfell Woods Radio Tower, and Skethermoor Radio Tower. Return to Joyce, who will then task you with obtaining an Oberon Sample and destroying the site. To access the Oberon Dig Site, restore power to all Data Stores in the Interchange and acquire the Signal Redirector.

Accessing the Oberon Dig Site: After completing the prerequisites, a new path will open from the Central Processing Unit into the Windscale Plant.

Navigating the Windscale Plant: The Windscale Plant is filled with Infection Spores, Ferals, and poison-spitting plant enemies. To reach the Oberon Dig Site, focus on reaching the large double doors at the end of the tunnel. From the entrance, take the stairs down, go through the door, take the stairs back up, and proceed through the hallway, dealing with the Feral. Drop down ledges, hug the left wall heading east, avoiding Ferals. Destroy the large plant, then dash to the train carriage and squeeze through. Ignore the stairs on the left, squeeze through the fence to the east. Climb the ledges on your left, then stairs to reach a large room. Defeat the Thralls using melee kicks and attacks. Make your way to the eastern wall at the back, find another plant and a gap to squeeze through. Walk across the thin ledge, drop down to your left, and proceed to the doors leading to the Oberon Dig Site.

Extracting the Oberon Sample: Once inside the Oberon Dig Site, take the left path and go up the stairs to the offices. Enter the door, then the next door on your right to find the Dig Site Storeroom Keycard on a desk. Leave this room and enter the other door to a long hallway. Enter the first door on your left (restrooms) and crawl through a hole to reach the storeroom, bypassing a Thrall. In the storeroom, you can find an Atomic Battery and a Pneumatic Dispenser. Ensure you have at least two Atomic Batteries. Exit the storeroom and deal with the Thrall outside.

Powering the Extractor: Go through the door the Thrall was guarding to reach the extraction room. Place two Atomic Batteries into the slots on either side to power the extraction drill. If you lack batteries, obtain them from Robots patrolling the dig site or from a container on the north end.

Activating the Extractor: Proceed to the main command center. Locate the switch labeled “Sample Extractor Console.” Activate it to begin the extraction process. Once complete, go up the stairs and take the northern door out of the command center to return outside (ignore Data Processing).
