In Armored Core 6, managing your resources is crucial for success. Ammo and repair kits are finite during missions, and running out can leave you vulnerable. If you find yourself low on supplies, restarting from the most recent checkpoint or the beginning of the mission will replenish your ammo and repair kits, giving you a fresh start to tackle challenges.

Resource Management: Ammo and Repair Kits

Weapons attached to arms have limited ammunition. Once depleted, your attack defaults to a punch, which is significantly less effective. While some missions offer resupply drones, these typically appear before major engagements, so do not rely on them for general exploration or smaller skirmishes.

Similarly, repair kits, the game's healing items, cannot be replenished mid-mission unless specifically provided by the game before a significant fight. If you are low on ammo or have few repair kits remaining, consider restarting the mission or from the last checkpoint. This action fully restores your ammo and repair kits, allowing you to approach the mission with full resources.

The Compass: Your Tactical Advantage

The compass at the bottom of your screen provides vital tactical information, especially when dealing with enemies at different elevations. Enemies are displayed as red squares, with indicators showing if they are above or below your position. Prioritizing elevated or stationary targets is often beneficial, as ACs with a height advantage can make combat difficult by forcing you to seek cover.

For example, in one mission, you encounter artillery units on a dam shelling you relentlessly. Dealing with these elevated threats first is essential before engaging ground targets. The compass also helps in locating camouflaged enemies that are hard to spot visually and can assist in tracking down the last remaining AC in an area.

Scanning for Hidden Threats

Scanning is an invaluable tool for revealing hidden enemies and locations. It highlights targets through walls for a short duration and can uncover hidden areas containing data logs, part containers, or special enemy encounters. This is particularly useful indoors, where enemies might be ambushing you, or against ACs with active camo that are otherwise difficult to see.

The scan's pulse has a generous radius, making it effective for surveying an area. When hunting for mission objectives like Battle Logs, equipping a head part with good scanning distance and actively exploring can lead to discovering concealed elements.
