Mission 15: Ocean Crossing is part of Chapter 2 in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. This mission, along with "Infiltrate Grid 086," "Eliminate the Doser Faction," and "Stop the Secret Data Breach," forms part of the main campaign's second chapter. Successfully completing these missions advances the narrative and unlocks further challenges in the game.

In Armored Core VI, resource management is critical. Weapons can run out of ammo, leaving you with only a punch attack. Repair kits, your healing items, are also limited and cannot be replenished mid-mission unless the game specifically provides a resupply drone before a major encounter. If you find yourself low on ammo or health, restarting the mission or from the most recent checkpoint will respawn you with full ammo and repair kits, a valuable tactic to conserve resources.

The compass at the bottom of your screen offers crucial tactical information. It displays enemies as red squares and indicates their elevation relative to your AC. Prioritizing elevated or stationary targets is often beneficial, especially when facing artillery units. Some targets are camouflaged, making them difficult to spot without the compass. Keeping an eye on your compass helps you maintain situational awareness and locate hidden threats or the last remaining AC in an area.

Assault Boost is not just for covering long distances; it's a vital combat tool. Use short, high-thrust Assault Boosts to quickly gain height advantage on bosses, avoid dangerous attacks, and enhance your mech's mobility. This dynamic movement, combined with ranged and melee combat, is key to mastering the frenetic action of Armored Core VI.
