How to Beat Juggernaut

Learn the best strategies and tips to defeat the Juggernaut boss in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Optimize your build and overcome this challenging encounter.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• High Armor: Juggernaut possesses extremely high physical defense, making it resistant to most conventional weaponry.
• Slow Movement: Its large size and heavy plating significantly limit its mobility.
• Weak Points: The primary weak points are its treads and the exhaust ports on its rear. Hitting these deals significantly more damage.
• Energy Attacks: While resistant to physical damage, it is more susceptible to energy-based attacks.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Assault
   The Juggernaut will advance slowly, firing its main cannon and missile pods. Focus fire on its treads to slow its advance and create openings.
2. Phase 2: Increased Aggression
   Upon reaching a certain damage threshold, the Juggernaut will deploy additional defenses and increase its attack frequency. It may also activate a shield that needs to be broken before damage can be dealt.
3. Phase 3: Desperation
   In its final phase, the Juggernaut will become more erratic, using its melee attacks and a wider spread of its cannon fire. Maintain distance and continue to target weak points.

Strategy:

• Weapon Choice: Utilize high-impact weapons such as grenade launchers, heavy missiles, or energy cannons. Plasma rifles and laser weapons are also effective. Avoid rapid-fire kinetic weapons as they will struggle to penetrate its armor.
• Mobility is Key: Use your AC's boosters to constantly strafe and maintain a safe distance. Dodge its primary cannon fire and missile barrages.
• Target Weak Points: Prioritize hitting the treads to immobilize it and the rear exhaust ports for critical damage.
• Exploit Openings: After it fires its main cannon or during its slower attack animations, rush in to deal concentrated damage to its weak points.
• Consider Support: If playing with allies, coordinate attacks to focus fire on weak points or draw its attention.
• Repair and Reload: Be mindful of your ammunition and repair kits. If necessary, create distance to resupply or repair.
