Complete Part 50 of Thief 2: The Metal Age, including reaching the Sixth and Seventh Signal Towers and finding key items.
Walkthrough
- 1From the central area, avoid the two corner Sentries and ascend two lifts to reach the FIFTH SIGNAL TOWER. Pull the lever from A to B to complete [OBJ 4]. Descend both lifts.
- 2Locate the ladder on the west wall of the north hall and climb to the top. Follow the vent tunnel until you find a low exit to the north.
- 3Warning: This area is heavily guarded by enhanced Sentries. If you wish to skip this tower, do not exit the vent tunnel. Instead, find the ladders in the south-west corner chimney, climb down, and proceed to the 'Bunk Room' section.
- 4If proceeding, drop down to a small ledge above the next bay. The Signal Tower entrance is below on the west wall, but the lever to open the gate is on the east wall.
- 5Drop to land near the Signal Tower door, using a Slow-fall Potion just before impact. Hide in the corner from the Sentries, then use a Speed Potion.
- 6Sprint around the room and find the hole in the north-east. Climb the ladder, cross the high bridge to the west to find an explosive charge, fire arrows, and Kelsus's third journal entry.
- 7Cross the other bridge to reach an area with two ladders. Take the first ladder, creep through the vent tunnel, and reach left at the far end to pull the LEVER, opening the gate to the Signal Tower.
- 8Note: The Sentry nearest the bottom of this first ladder can be destroyed using a button on the front of the gold box.
- 9Return through the vent tunnel, up the ladder, and down the second ladder.
- 10Cross a third bridge leading to the west wall. Reach the dark corner at the back wall, drop down using another Slow-fall Potion, and dart into the elevator shaft.
- 11Ride the lift up to find the SIXTH SIGNAL TOWER. Pull the lever from A to B and descend.
- 12Head to the north-west corner of the bay and enter the tunnel. Go to the locked gate at the end and reach left to pull a lever on the wall beyond, opening the gate.
- 13Enter the main cathedral (it is empty) and proceed through the doorway in the south.
- 14Collect the two frogbeast eggs in the left corner.
- 15Note: If you completed the Turret Production Tower, you have now activated six Signal Towers. The remaining two are in the west. You can skip the following section if you do not need another Invisibility Potion.
- 16Pick the lock on the double doors while the patrolling Child is not too close and enter the long corridor.
- 17Ignore the Child and proceed into another large bay. Climb the long ladder in the corner and cross a high bridge to reach a twin lever.
- 18Note: Karras's chamber is located on the barricaded balcony high on the west wall, and he can see you.
- 19This lever opens the single door below, which contains manufactory supplies and a single Invisibility Potion. Return to the hallway with the patrolling Child.
- 20Note: The central chimney leads back up to the vent tunnel used to escape the East halls.
- 21From the bunk room area, exit south and head west to find a room full of bunk beds with a Watcher (a type of security device) in the ceiling.
- 22The locked chest in the north-west contains a Healing Potion, and another nearby chest contains a Slow-fall Potion.
- 23Exit west into a brown-walled hallway with an elevator to the north. Note its location and ignore it for now.
- 24Enter the next room, which is a hub room with two Watchers. Find the doorway in the north and proceed through it.
- 25Enter the claustrophobic bay containing machinery and a conveyor belt. Look for a frogbeast egg immediately upon entering.
- 26Pass the three Children patrolling this area. The elevator is at the end of a corridor on the west wall, accessible by mantling (climbing over) a square hole in the wall.
- 27Open the double doors, ride the lift up to find the SEVENTH SIGNAL TOWER. Pull the lever from A to B and go back down. This completes [OBJ 4].
- 28The remaining bay can be explored for completion's sake.
Tips
- Use Slow-fall Potions before landing from significant heights to mitigate fall damage.
- Speed Potions are crucial for quickly traversing dangerous areas with many enemies.
- Be mindful of Karras's line of sight from his chamber on the west wall.
- The minimap (a small map displayed on the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), or Heads-Up Display, showing your immediate surroundings) can help you navigate the complex layout.
