Part 31

Learn how to save Laura, Ryan, Chris, Travis, Bobby, Constance, and Jed in Part 31 of The Quarry, including Eliza's consequences and Tarot Card visions.

Saving Characters:

Saving Laura: Laura can only be saved if she did not shoot Travis during the prison escape in 7-Laura-8. To save her, you must kill Chris.

Saving Ryan: To save Ryan, you must kill Chris and have accepted Laura's bite in 9-Ryan-2. If Laura shot Travis in 7-Laura-8, you must also stab Bobby in 9-Ryan-2 (killing Constance and Jed), and Ryan must kill Travis to survive.

Saving Chris: To save Chris and keep directly and indirectly infected characters as werewolves, do not shoot him, or shoot Laura instead. Both Laura and Ryan will die in either case.

Saving Travis: Save Travis by shooting either Werewolf Chris or Werewolf Laura. If Laura shot Travis in 7-Laura-8 and Ryan shot Werewolf Chris in this scene, Ryan must not kill Travis, meaning Ryan must die. If Ryan shoots Werewolf Laura instead, he will still die, making Ryan's death necessary to save Travis if Laura shot him in 7-Laura-8.

Saving Bobby, Constance, and Jed: Do not stab Bobby in 9-Ryan-2. If Laura shot Travis in 7-Laura-8, Ryan will die.

9-Laura-4 Scene Conditions:

Laura must be alive, meaning Chris was killed and Ryan and Travis are alive.

Possible Death - Ryan: If Ryan was not infected (did not accept Laura's bite in 9-Ryan-2), he will die from bleeding out shortly after the scene begins. Paths A Pound of Flesh and The White Whale will update based on his survival.

Choice - Laura captured by Travis: If Ryan dies, Travis will attempt to recapture Laura. Failing the QTE (Quick Time Event) to grab the gun, or failing to shoot Travis during the subsequent Shootout event, results in Laura being recaptured. Firing and missing Travis in the Shootout results in a slightly varied recapture. Laura being captured prevents the reunion scene in 10-Max.

Possible Death - Travis: To prevent Laura's recapture, Laura must shoot Travis.

Clue Entries: To unlock specific Clue Entries (Family Photo #3, Ranger Box #2, Trail Camera #3, Hunting Trophy Wall #2) and the Above the Law Achievement, Ryan must survive (accepted Laura's bite in 9-Ryan-2). This prevents Travis from attempting to recapture Laura.

Minor Consequences:

Path - The White Whale: This path will update based on the scene's outcome.

Eliza Consequences:

All of Travis, Bobby, Constance, and Jed dead: Eliza will be pleased, even if Chris is alive. The deaths of Bobby, Constance, and Jed are guaranteed if Bobby is stabbed in 9-Ryan-2. Travis's death is required for this outcome.

Travis, Laura, & Ryan alive: Eliza's comments on the Judgment Tarot Card will be directed towards Travis.

Chapter 10 unplayable: If there are no playable elements remaining for Chapter 10, the game will jump directly to Eliza's ending scene after the Tarot Cards, with no opportunity to see regular Tarot Card visions except The Hierophant.

Tarot Card visions: The three regular Tarot Cards in Chapter 9 have multiple visions depending on the game's state.

Tarot Card - Death: Shows a possible death of a surviving character, such as Kaitlyn falling from the Beam in 10-Kaitlyn-2 or Laura being killed by Silas after the car crash in 10-Laura-1.

Tarot Card - Judgment: Shows key decision points in Chapter 10, including Travis getting shot in 10-Laura-2, Jacob avoiding the snare in 10-Jacob, and Max's decision on whether to stay on the island in 10-Max.
