    Chapter 9: In 9-Ryan-1, do not pull the knife out of Ryan; it is needed to kill Bobby. Succeed the QTEs when Ryan is chased by Bobby, specifically the one where Ryan pushes over the cabinet to block Bobby's path. In 9-Ryan-2, at the end of the chase, choose Interrupt to Stab Bobby, which will kill him later in 9-Ryan-3, along with Constance and Jed if they are still alive. Accept Laura's bite to keep Ryan alive. During the werewolf battle in the scrapyard in 9-Dylan-2, choose Slam Car instead of sounding the Horn to keep Dylan alive. In the event with Werewolf Chris (9-Ryan-3), shoot Chris to kill him; this is the only place Chris can be killed. This also results in Bobby dying alongside Constance and Jed if they are still alive.

    Chapter 10: At the end of Max's Scene (10-Max), choose to Stay on the island, not Swim. In Kaitlyn's werewolf battle (10-Kaitlyn-2), succeed all QTEs. To keep Kaitlyn alive more easily, choose Run rather than Wait at the start, and Beam rather than Window when the option appears. Later in 10-Kaitlyn-2, when Abi is knocking on the office door, choose Investigate, leading to a Shootout event where Caleb can be killed. During the attack in the car (10-Laura-1), pass the QTEs; failing too many will result in deaths. Follow Travis' instructions and do not go for the gun. In the final Scene (10-Laura-2), upon finding Silas, do not choose Interrupt to Raise the Gun. Fail the QTE that follows, where Travis tries to grab Laura's gun, killing Travis. Then, shoot Silas to save Laura and Ryan. This is the only way to kill Travis without killing other counselors.

Alternative Strategy: Killing most Counselors, Saving most Hacketts

It is not possible to kill all playable characters while keeping all Hacketts alive, as killing Max requires killing Chris. This strategy aims to get close to that outcome.

  1. Chapter 4: Kill Emma in one of her chase scenes.
  2. Chapter 5: If Dylan gets bit in 5-Ryan, amputate his hand so he remains uninfected.
  3. Chapter 6: If Jacob is not dead, kill him in 6-Jacob. Succeed all QTEs during the chase so Jacob gets caught in the bear trap. Choose Pull Free rather than Pry Open, and fail the subsequent QTE. Jacob can also be killed earlier in 4-Ryan by having Ryan shoot into the woods, or in 1-Jacob by choosing the Rotor Arm instead of the Fuel Line, then diving into the lake and drowning him in 3-Jacob-1 by succeeding the QTEs and choosing Pull twice instead of Detangle. In 6-Abi, do not shoot Nick, so Abi gets killed.
  4. Chapter 7: Shoot Travis during the escape in 7-Laura-8 by failing all the QTEs. This is necessary if choosing to kill Chris to kill Max.
  5. Chapter 8: In 8-Ryan-2, when Ryan and Laura reach the cages, do not choose Interrupt to Stop Laura from shooting the werewolf. This kills Nick and is the only way to kill him.
  6. Chapter 9: Fail the QTE when Constance grabs Laura's shotgun in 9-Laura-1, allowing Constance to disarm Laura. When attacked by Jed in 9-Laura-2, choose Run over Attack. In 9-Ryan-2, if Ryan still has the knife, do not choose Interrupt to Stab Bobby. During the scrapyard battle in 9-Dylan-2, kill Dylan by choosing to sound the Horn rather than Slam Car, and fail the following QTEs. If not killing Dylan here, ensure Kaitlyn doesn't get infected by succeeding the QTE to move the rusty lever.
  7. Killing or Saving Chris in 9-Ryan-3: Chris must be killed to kill Max, and Max must remain alive to save Chris. To kill Max, sacrifice Chris by shooting Chris. This cures Max, allowing him to be killed later in Chapter 10. After killing Chris, since Laura shot Travis near the end of Chapter 7, Travis will kill Laura; allow Travis to then kill Ryan.

Specific Death Scenarios:

  • Killing Max: Choose to Swim rather than Stay in 10-Max.
  • Killing Dylan: If Dylan is still alive, in 10-Kaitlyn-2, choose Wait at the start, then fail the Shootout event when the werewolf charges.
  • Killing Kaitlyn: Keep Kaitlyn alive during the werewolf battle in 10-Kaitlyn-2. In the kitchen, go for the Freezer, then Use Decoy to lure Caleb into the freezer. Fail the QTE that follows to close the freezer door. This kills Kaitlyn or traps her if infected, and traps Caleb. Those trapped will die once Silas is killed.
  • Killing Travis and Ryan: In 10-Laura-1, fail the QTEs during the car attack; the car will crash, killing Travis and Ryan.
  • Killing Silas: Succeed the QTEs after the car crash in 10-Laura-1 to kill Silas, which also unlocks The White Wolf Achievement. Laura will die afterward from her injuries.
