Part 10

Learn how to save Kaitlyn and Caleb, and potentially Silas, in Part 10 of The Quarry. Includes infection details for Laura, Jacob, and Abi.

Saving Kaitlyn and Caleb:

1. To save both Kaitlyn and Caleb, get Kaitlyn infected in 9-Dylan-2. Then, fail a QTE in 10-Kaitlyn-2 before Caleb can be killed.
2. If Abi or Emma knock on the office door in 10-Kaitlyn-2, choose to go to the Kitchen instead of Investigate to prevent a death. However, Kaitlyn may still die depending on earlier choices.
3. Both can be saved by trapping Caleb or an infected Kaitlyn in the lodge freezer at the end of 10-Kaitlyn-2. This requires not killing Silas later, which will cause additional deaths if the game reaches that point. To trap Caleb, Abi must obtain the rabbit toy in 1-Abi, allowing Kaitlyn the option to 'Use Decoy' when heading for the Freezer.

Saving Silas:

1. Avoid reaching the penultimate Scenes of the game, 10-Laura-1 & 10-Laura-2. This requires either Laura or Ryan to die before Chapter 10.
2. Alternatively, choose not to shoot Silas in 10-Laura-2, or fail the QTEs after the car crash in 10-Laura-1. Crashing the car in 10-Laura-1 results in the deaths of Laura, Ryan, and Travis.
3. Not killing Silas in Chapter 10 will always result in Travis's death. To save Laura or Ryan along with Silas, Ryan must acquire werewolf blood in 3-Ryan. Succeed in most QTEs while running through the forest, then shoot and hit the hunter during the Shootout event when the hunter is dragging Nick away. This will not harm Nick, and the hunter will drop a werewolf blood vial. At the end of 10-Laura-1, use the werewolf blood to mark either Ryan or Laura, saving them from Silas's attack if Silas is not killed.

Infecting Characters:

Infecting all 9 playable characters unlocks the Blood Pact Achievement. Non-playable characters cannot be infected.

• Laura: Laura is always infected by Max before Chapter 7 and transforms into a werewolf in 9-Ryan-3, killing Travis unless cured or killed. She is cured by killing Chris in 9-Ryan-3. It is not possible for her to be infected at the game's end.
• Jacob: Jacob is infected by Caleb in 6-Jacob and transforms in Chapter 10. To keep Emma alive, find Emma's silver bracelet in 1-Jacob. The most reliable infection method is to choose 'Run' instead of 'Hide' when Jacob is coming down from the walkway and fail the QTE to run. An alternative requires Emma to be alive and Jacob to have chosen 'Interrupt to run away' in 3-Jacob-2 (not marked with werewolf blood). Jacob can then be infected by failing the first QTE in the chase when the werewolf first appears. Jacob is cured by killing Caleb in 10-Kaitlyn-2, or Silas in 10-Laura-2 / 10-Laura-1. He will not be cured before potentially killing Emma. To have Jacob infected at the end, Caleb and Silas must both be spared.
• Abi: Abi is infected in 3-Abi, presumably by Kaylee. The most reliable infection method is to fail the 'Don't Breathe' event at the end of the chase. To reach this point, do not choose 'Interrupt to Climb Tree', or if you do, do not fail any QTEs while climbing it. Abi is also shown getting bitten if failing to choose between 'Run' and 'Hide' near the start of the chase. A potentially glitched bite occurs when choosing 'Interrupt to Climb Tree', failing a QTE to climb, then failing the QTE to avoid the werewolf pounce. This bite may not register as an infection. You can confirm if Abi is infected in 5-Nick-2 by not choosing to Hide, allowing Bobby to find them. If Abi pushes Bobby away, she is infected. Abi is presumably cured when Kaylee is killed by Laura at the end of Chapter 5.
• Dylan: Dylan can be infected in three places, by different werewolves, but the game registers it as Silas infecting him. Silas must be killed for Dylan to be considered cured. If infected in Chapter 5, Dylan becomes a werewolf at the end of 9-Dylan-2 but will not endanger characters. The most common infection method is in 5-Ryan, by not amputating his hand after he is attacked. To trigger the attack, break into the cabin.
