Part 17

Learn how to kill Travis, Bobby, Constance, Jed, Caleb, and Silas in The Quarry Part 17. This guide details the specific choices and QTEs needed for each character's demise.

This section details how to kill various characters in The Quarry, including Travis, Bobby, Constance, Jed, Caleb, and Silas. Many of these deaths are dependent on specific choices and Quick Time Event (QTE) successes or failures in earlier chapters.

Killing Travis

Travis can be killed by failing QTEs during the car battle in 10-Laura-1. He can also be killed by Laura in 10-Laura-2 if she refuses to Raise the Gun and succeeds the subsequent QTE, though Silas will attack afterwards, potentially killing Laura and Ryan. The only way to kill Travis without affecting other counselors is in 10-Laura-2, upon encountering Silas. Ignore the 'Interrupt to Raise the Gun' prompt, fail the following QTE, and Travis will die. To keep Laura and Ryan alive, kill Silas in the subsequent Shootout event.

Killing Bobby

Bobby can only be killed by stabbing him in 9-Ryan-2, provided Ryan has retained the knife. He will die in 9-Ryan-3 along with Constance and Jed. It is impossible to kill Bobby without also killing Constance and Jed.

Killing Constance

Constance can be killed by succeeding the QTE near the start of 9-Laura-1. She will also die in 9-Ryan-3 alongside Bobby if he is killed.

Killing Jed

Jed can be killed in 9-Laura-2 after he catches up with Laura in the house. Succeed the QTEs during their battle, then choose 'Attack' and succeed the following QTE. He will also die in 9-Ryan-3 alongside Bobby if Bobby is killed.

Killing Caleb

Caleb can be killed in Chapter 10 in two ways: using silver shells from Abi/Emma, or trapping him in the lodge freezer and then killing Silas. Kaitlyn must be alive and not trapped in the scrapyard in Chapter 9 for either method. For the silver shells method, either Abi or Emma must be alive in Chapter 10. Emma must not be infected and must find the silver shells in the lodge basement in 9-Abi-2. Abi will always have silver shells if she survives to Chapter 10. Towards the end of the werewolf battle in 10-Kaitlyn-2, choose to 'Investigate' when Abi/Emma knocks on the lodge office door to get the silver shells. Caleb can be killed in the subsequent Shootout. For the freezer method, Abi must obtain the rabbit toy in 1-Abi. In 10-Kaitlyn-2, in the lodge kitchen, choose 'Freezer' and then 'Use Decoy' to lure Caleb in. If Kaitlyn is infected and with Dylan, succeed the QTE to close the freezer door; otherwise, Dylan will rescue Caleb. With Caleb trapped, kill Silas to ensure Caleb dies by the game's end.

Killing Silas

Silas can only be killed in the final two sections of the game. Both Laura and Ryan must be alive by Chapter 10, implying Travis is also alive. To ensure Laura survives until Chapter 10, do not shoot Travis during the escape in 7-Laura-8 and succeed the QTEs. To ensure Ryan survives, have him accept Laura's bite in 9-Ryan-2. To keep them all alive at the end of Chapter 9, Ryan must shoot Werewolf Chris in 9-Ryan-3. In Chapter 10, Silas can be killed by shooting him in 10-Laura-2, or by crashing the car in 10-Laura-1 (fail QTEs) and then succeeding the QTEs after the crash.
