Discover glitches in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, including using the Fierce Deity's Mask outside boss battles and accessing a Fourth Day.

  • Fierce Deity's Mask Glitch: Must have completed the Kafei/Anju quest regarding Sakon's Hideout and possess the Fierce Deity's Mask and Bunny Hood.
  • Exceed Rupee Bank Balance: Must have the Giant's Wallet and a balance between 4,501 and 4,999 Rupees in the bank.
  • Bombchu Hovering: Requires the Infinite Sword Glitch to be active.
Walkthrough
  1. 1
Fierce Deity's Mask Glitch: While controlling Link, wear the Bunny Hood. Initiate the Kafei/Anju quest regarding Sakon's Hideout. Open the item menu, then go to the Fierce Deity Mask and place it where the Bunny Hood is equipped. When controlling Link again, he will transform into Fierce Deity Link. After completing the area, you can control Fierce Deity Link outside of battle. It is not advised to talk to people, as it may trigger an intended fail-safe (uncontrollable slashing, potentially forcing a reset) or freeze the game. To transform back, get defeated by an enemy.
  2. 2
The Fourth Day: Access the Astral Observatory or Pirates' Fortress between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM on the Final Night. Look through the telescope until approximately 2 minutes of gameplay remain. Using the Song of Inverted Time can enhance accuracy. Exit the viewfinder before the 2-minute mark, and the game will proceed to the next day instead of a Game Over screen. Normally, you cannot pause, access certain buildings, or speak to certain people. Dancing with the Scarecrow twice can alleviate some restrictions. Playing the Song of Double Time will freeze the game and keep the Clock Tower door open.
  3. 3
Multiple Zora Fins: While using the Zora Mask, launch a pair of fins. Quickly remove and re-equip the Zora Mask. You can then launch a second group of fins. As the first group returns, you can shoot them, then shoot the second group. This can be repeated up to three or four times for a juggling effect.
  4. 4
Exceed Rupee Bank Balance: With the Giant's Wallet, deposit between 4,501 and 4,999 Rupees into the bank. For example, having 4,999 Rupees in the bank and depositing 2 Rupees will result in 5,001 Rupees. Depositing 4,501 Rupees and having a wallet of 500 Rupees will yield 5,463 Rupees. This allows your balance to exceed the normal 5,000 Rupee limit for a single deposit.
  5. 5
Infinite Sword Glitch: Find an object interactable with the A Button. Crouch-stab, then interrupt the stab by using the A Button interaction on the object. Link's sword will swing infinitely, extending its reach. Link will be unable to walk or jump from a ledge. Deactivate by taking damage, swinging manually, using a transformation mask, swimming, jumping to an object to climb, or entering a new area.
  6. 6
Bombchu Hovering: Activate the Infinite Sword Glitch. Backflip and, during the flip, use a Bombchu and shield. Link will stop in mid-air. If you ascended, repeat the process to go higher. By facing an object and repeating this, you can ascend it without meeting normal requirements, such as reaching the top of the cliff in Ikana Canyon without Ice Arrows to get the Great Fairy's Sword early. If stuck in mid-air, backflip or side-hop without a Bombchu to fall normally.
  7. 7
Bomb Jump-Boosting: Before leaping from a ledge, place a Bomb behind Link and time it so he leaps and is hit by the explosion. Moving toward and from the ledge after the explosion begins may also work. This increases jumping velocity.
Tips
  • When using the Fierce Deity's Mask outside of boss battles, avoid talking to NPCs to prevent game freezes or forced resets.
  • The Fourth Day glitch allows for extended exploration but limits interaction with certain elements of the game.
  • The Bombchu Hovering glitch is useful for reaching inaccessible areas early in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
  • The Infinite Sword Glitch can make combat easier but restricts Link's movement.
