Walkthrough

    Start by playing the Inverted Song of Time to slow down time, giving you more time to complete tasks.

    Proceed south and then south again in Termina Field to trigger a scene about Skull Kid.

    Defeat the Bad Bats that attack; shoot down the one that remains on the tree.

    Climb the tree to find a Piece of Heart.

    If you haven't already, buy a Woodfall Map from Tingle for 20 Rupees.

    Head east to the Shooting Range and Swamp Fishing Hole, but these areas cannot be accessed yet.

    Return and go south to enter the Southern Swamp.

    A scene will trigger with The Owl, who teaches you the Song of Soaring, allowing you to teleport to activated Owl Statues.

    Head north into the Woods of Mystery and talk to the monkey.

    Follow the monkey through the Woods of Mystery, sticking close to it.

    Defeat the Snapper enemy by either using the Deku Mask to burrow into a flower or by flipping it with a projectile and slashing it.

    At the end of the Woods of Mystery, you will find Koume the Witch.

    Return outside and enter the building in the center of the pond.

    Speak to Kotake, Koume's sister, and receive a Bottle of Red Potion.

    Re-enter the Woods of Mystery and follow the monkey again to find Koume.

    Give Koume the Red Potion.

    Koume will inform you she is the Tour Guide and will give you a free ride.

    Return to the entrance area (near the Owl Statue) and speak to the Deku Merchant who sells Magic Beans for 10 Rupees to Deku Scrubs (you cannot buy them yet).

    Enter the Tourist Information building.

    Speak to Koume in the small dark room to receive the Pictograph Box.

    You will automatically start the boat ride; equip the Pictograph Box when prompted.

    Enjoy the ride, defeating an enemy that blocks passage. Avoid jumping into the poisonous water after the monster.

    Disembark at the first stop and follow the monkey into the Deku Palace area.
