Walkthrough

    As you start the Woodfall Temple, equip the Great Fairy Mask to obtain [STRAY FAIRY [01/15]]. If you missed it, use the nearby flower.

    Use the flower to fly right and find a chest containing [STRAY FAIRY [02/15]]. If you fall, use the ladders at the start to return. Beware of Black Boes.

    Proceed to the next room, flying between Skulltulas. Go down the ramp on Link's left and kill the Deku Baba to get [STRAY FAIRY [03/15]].

    Cross the pool using the carnivorous plants (they are safe as Deku Link, but damage regular Link).

    In the corner with pots, find [STRAY FAIRY [04/15]] inside one of them.

    Return and go through the door. In the next room, use the flower in the center of the pool to reach the area directly in front of you.

    Kill the 3 Snappers by diving into the flowers and waiting for them to surface, or by using bombs or the Blast Mask to flip them and attack with your sword.

    Return to the previous area and enter the locked door on the west.

    In the next room, instead of moving the block, jump across the pool on the right to a wooden walkway.

    Follow the walkway, kill the Skulltula to find [STRAY FAIRY [05/15]].

    Note the torch. Continue following the path to the block and push it.

    Return to the torch, light it with a Deku Stick, and follow the path to the right of the block to light another torch, opening a door. Quickly slash your sword to save the Deku Stick and enter the door.

    In this room, kill the 2 Dragonflies. Open the chest to find the [COMPASS].

    Return to the previous room, light a Deku Stick, and go up the stairs to light another torch. Quickly put it away and light it again to burn a spiderweb.

    Stand on the platform before the spiderweb and look south underneath it to find a beehive. Shoot it down to find [STRAY FAIRY [06/15]].

    Proceed through the spiderweb onto the second floor.

    In the dark hallway, kill all the Black Boes using Deku Link's Spin Attack. A chest will reveal [STRAY FAIRY [07/15]].

    Light all 3 torches in the circular room with Deku Sticks and proceed to the next area.

    In the large open area, find [STRAY FAIRY [08/15]] in the northeast corner. Carefully shoot down the Dragonflies attacking from platforms with flowers. Avoid falling through the floor holes, which will return you to the first floor.

    Go down the stairs on the other side and step on the floor switch to create a shortcut.

    Go through the door and shoot the beehive next to you to find [STRAY FAIRY [09/15]].

Miniboss Fight: Dinofol

The first mini-boss, Dinofol, is relatively easy. It's recommended to use regular Link due to its fire attacks, which can reset the battle if Link is in Deku form. Target Dinofol and keep your shield up. Block its attacks and quickly retaliate. If you hit it, it will spit fire, so move away. Alternatively, as Deku Link, Spin Attack to stun it, then blow a bubble at it, causing it to spit fire. Move away quickly after hitting it.

After defeating Dinofol, open the chest to find the [HERO'S BOW].

Tips
  • As Deku Link, you can safely stand on carnivorous plants and bounce on poisoned water.
  • Carnivorous plants are safe for Deku Link but damage regular Link.
  • Black Boes only jump at you.
  • Snappers can be defeated by diving into flowers and waiting for them to surface, or by using bombs/Blast Mask to flip them and attack with your sword.
  • Deku Sticks can be used to light torches. Save them by pressing B to slash your sword before they burn out.
  • The Great Fairy Mask can be used to collect stray fairies.
  • Falling through floor holes in the large open area will send you back to the first floor.
