Part 25

Complete walkthrough for Part 25 of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, covering Zora Cape, Zora Hall, and the Great Bay Temple, including item and heart piece locations.

Also be sure that you can capture fish from the sea in your Bottles. Once you get some, return to the Marine Lab and empty them into the tank with the other fish to have some cannibalism go on that nets you a [PIECE OF HEART [27/52]]. It takes 4 fishes PER spiky fish, so make sure to have one of them eat 4. You will probably have to make several trips.

Exit the building and return to the beach, then head south and into the cave there, the aptly-named Zora Cape.

Zora Cape / Waterfall Rapids / Zora Hall

When you enter this area, go east and along the beach for a bit. When you reach the broken tree in the path, take note of it, but ignore it for the moment. You'll see a large waterfall nearby: you can dive under it to find a Like Like, and defeating yields a nice [PIECE OF HEART [28/52]]. Return to the broken tree and stand on it. Hookshot onto the tree, then onto the ledge above and keep Hookshotting for a while. Once you reach the top, you'll want to jump in the water and speak with the beaver: winning one race against both beavers nets you a [BOTTLE] and you can get another [PIECE OF HEART [29/52]] from the second race with each one.

Time to go to Zora Hall. Return to Zora Cape and swim towards the big fish statue in the center of the water, entering by the "mouth" on the east side. Put on the Zora Mask when you enter and head to Tijo's room (the last room from left to right with the shells outside) and take off your mask. Fire the Hookshot at the tree and you'll find a diary: when you read it, you'll get a couple sets of notes to play on the guitar. Take note of them and write them down or otherwise memorize them, then put on the Zora Mask and head along to Japas's room (room with the octorok outside). There, play both sets of notes for him and you'll begin a bit of a jam session: memorize the notes thrown at you and head along to Evan's room. Play all of them to Evan while NOT wearing the Zora Mask. He'll give you a [PIECE OF HEART [30/52]] after.

After that, head to Lulu's room while wearing the Zora Mask, and, in there, switch to the Goron Mask. Speak with the Akindo Nut and hand over the Mountain Title Deed: you'll get the Ocean Title Deed for doing so. You can in turn put on the Deku Mask and trade this with the Deku Flower to get up to a ledge rewarding you with another [PIECE OF HEART [31/52]].

That minor thingy aside, back in Zora Cape, leap into the water below and head to the beach. Go northwest along it and then west to the water. Head out to the island in the middle and you'll find Lulu - a Zora songstress - at the back. Speak with her and then play the New Wave Bossa Nova song. A turtle will surface from the water nearby. Once it does, take off the Zora Mask and examine and activate the nearby owl statue. After, Hookshot onto the palm tree on the turtle's back: you'll be taken straight to the Great Bay's temple, with a rather apt name...

The Great Bay Temple

Once you arrive, leap off the turtle and go into the temple proper. In the entrance room, use some Fire Arrows to give this dank place some mood lighting. ... Oh, and it makes a chest appear. Yeah, we kinda want that [STRAY FAIRY [01/15]] within it, don't we? Anyhow, go north and into the next room.

In here, you'll see a waterwheel if you look up: it's the central feature of the temple. Begin by going left and onto the vertically-moving platform. Ride it up to the top, then leap onto the Rupee-filled platform. Defeat the Skulltula that comes down and grab the [STRAY FAIRY [02/15]] to finish off that bit. Put on the Zora Mask and leap into the water.

Swim under the platform on the south side by which you entered the room a few moments ago. Under it, you'll find a [STRAY FAIRY [03/15]] trapped in a bubble: pop it to free the poor little fairy. From there, go to the northeastern part of the room and go down to stand on the orange-yellow platform. You can turn the valve there to trigger a upwardbound water jet nearby. Return to the southern platform near the door and wait for the platform to the door's right to come down.

Get on it and ride up to the ledge with the Skulltulas. Exterminate them and go up to the other side of the platform. When the water jet lowers to your level, leap on it and ride on up. There, go along the path around and up into the next room.

In this room, take off your mask and pull out the Hookshot: use it to go to the barrel on the platform to the west. Put on your Goron Mask and destroy the barrel and then get the [STRAY FAIRY [04/15]] from within. Put on the Zora Mask next and jump into t
