Learn how to defeat enemies like Red Bubbles, ReDeads, and Takkuri in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Includes strategies for each foe.

Red Bubble

This red floating skull resembles its Blue counterpart, but is much less of a threat. To beat it, simply block its attack and it'll lose that reddish aura around it, then you can just smack the skull.

Red Chuchu

The Chuchus are not much to be afraid of. They will mostly have a single lunge that is easy to see coming, so just block it if the need arises, though you usually are able to slice it to oblivion before we get to that point.

ReDead

The ReDead functions much like the earlier-fought Gibdo. Like the Gibdo, you'll be paralyzed if caught in its gaze, at which point it comes up you and munches on you. You should dodge around it with the Gibdo Mask or the Captain's Hat; if forced to fight, keep things to a distance with arrows.

Shell Blade

This shellfish enemy is pretty annoying: you can't really affect it unless you attack its innards. Guess when its inside opens up? When you're close? And what happens when you're close? It attacks. The ideal way for you to attack is to get an arrow nocked before you approach, approach while holding the arrow, and release the moment the thing opens.

Skullfish

This skeletal fish attacks by ramming you predictably. Since you'll find it underwater, just have Zora Link smack it or use his boomeranging attack.

Skulltula

Skulltulas are massive spiders. Unlike traditional spiders, the Skulltula is vulnerable on its underside, where its body is quite soft. As most Skulltulas will come from above, you can simply wait for it to come down and, when it does, wait a bit longer to see that underside. Smack it with some kind of attack to hurt it.

Snapper

This turtle-like enemy is basically a snapping turtle: it'll attack if you near its mouth especially. It's easily killed by hitting it with a Bomb or the Blast Mask, which will flip it over, allowing you to attack it with your sword.

Stalchild

These skeletal enemies fall pretty easily to pretty much any attack you can throw, nothing really to worry over.

Takkuri

This is a thieving bird, diving in to steal money and equipment from you. Ideally, you'll take it down by timing your sword attacks as it swoops down, though you can also use your Bow without targeting and simply time the release of the string to smack the feathery beast. It'll take a while, though, since it is a big bird. You can avoid him with the Stone Mask. Late in the game when you have the Light Arrows, killing these can be worth the effort, yielding up to 200 Rupees from some Light Arrows.

Wallmaster

When you see their shadow on the wall or the roof, be very careful on your approach. If the Wallmaster grabs you for even a brief time, you'll be deposited at the dungeon entrance, though you'll have no loss of health. When the Wallmaster appears, quickly strike it as it lands: usually, it will dangle its hand right in front of your face, so it's easy to hear and react if your console's sound is on. After you strike it, just keep hitting it!

White Boe

The White Boe is an icier version of the Black Boes. Like its Black counterparts, the White Boes like to strike in groups, so charged attacks work pretty well. If you have to attack from a distance, it is best hit with a Fire Arrow since it's an icy enemy.

White Wolfos

This lupine foe attacks by lunging and slashing at you. They tend to be pretty defensive when not attacking, making most direct attacks pointless - the best way to attack is simply by timing the swing of your sword during its own strike so that you hit it.

Wolfos

The Wolfos mostly likes to lunge.
