The final confrontation between Ellie and Abby is a pivotal moment in The Last of Us Part II. This guide, also applicable to The Last of Us Part II Remastered (released for PC on April 3, 2025), provides combat encounter tips, collectible locations, and secrets to help you navigate this intense segment.

As you progress, Ellie will acquire a total of 6 weapons. You start with the Semi-Auto Pistol and Bolt-Action Rifle. The Revolver is the third weapon Ellie can find, making it 3 out of 6. Two of Ellie's remaining weapons are unmissable automatic pickups. Abby also has 6 weapons, totaling 12 for the High Caliber achievement. To earn the Mechanist achievement, fully upgrade one weapon, and for Arms Master, upgrade all 10 upgradable weapons (two cannot be upgraded).

Upon reaching Seattle with Dina, inspect the large sealed gate blocking entry. A message written on the wall needs to be jotted down in Ellie’s journal. This is an important collectible for completionists.

• Training Manuals: There are 8 Training Manuals in total (4 for Ellie, 4 for Abby). If you pre-ordered, you might have received one differently. If you miss any, use chapter select to find the specific chapter where it was located. Training Manuals have multiple spawn locations within their respective chapters, so if one isn't where expected, consult other guides or videos for alternative spots.
• Safes: Unlock all 14 safes in the game (8 for Ellie, 6 for Abby) for an achievement. If you haven't unlocked it, use chapter select to identify and revisit missed safes.
