The Medium build in THE FINALS is uniquely positioned to excel at objective play due to its balanced stats and access to powerful utility gadgets. While Lights might be fast and Heavies might be durable, the Medium build's ability to sustain its team and control areas makes it a prime candidate for securing Cashout Stations and defending Vaults. Mastering objective play with a Medium build is about strategic positioning, timely gadget deployment, and enabling your team to succeed.

Securing Cashout Stations

Cashout Stations are the primary objective, and the Medium build has several tools to help secure them:

• Mesh Shield / Dome Shield: Deploying a shield around the Cashout Station is paramount. This provides crucial cover for the teammate who is cashing out and for any teammates defending the area from incoming fire. Position the shield to cover the most likely angles of attack.
• Heal Beam: Keep your teammates alive while they are defending the Cashout. Prioritize healing the person cashing out if they are under direct fire, or any teammates who are actively engaging enemies.
• Incendiary/Gas Grenades: Use these to deny enemy access to the Cashout Station. Throw them into choke points or common entry routes to force enemies to take damage or find alternative paths, giving your team time to secure the cash.
• Zip Line: If the Cashout Station is in a difficult-to-reach location, a Zip Line can provide a quick and safe route for your team to get to it, or to escape if the situation becomes untenable.

Defending Vaults and Initiating Cashouts

Vaults are the source of cash, and defending them while they are being opened, or securing the cash after it's dropped, is critical:

• Area Denial: Use Incendiary and Gas Grenades to create zones that enemies will be hesitant to push through while your team is interacting with the Vault.
• Defensive Positioning: Set up your shields to cover the Vault and the surrounding area. This allows your teammates to focus on opening the Vault or collecting the cash without being immediately overwhelmed.
• Heal and Support: Keep your teammates healthy as they interact with the Vault. A well-timed heal can be the difference between successfully opening the Vault and being wiped out.
• Counter-Attacks: If the enemy team is attempting to steal the cash from a recently opened Vault, use your mobility and utility to flank or push them back, securing the objective for your team.

Team Coordination and Communication

The Medium build's objective play is amplified by effective teamwork:

• Communicate Intentions: Let your team know when you plan to deploy a shield, use a Heal Beam, or throw a grenade.
• Designate Roles: Clearly ass who will be cashing out, who will be defending, and who will be flanking or scouting.
• Prioritize Objectives: Always be aware of which objective is most critical at any given moment and direct your team's efforts accordingly.
• Adapt to the Situation: If an objective is being heavily contested, be prepared to shift your focus and use your utility to support your team's efforts to either take or defend it.
